turtsmcgurtsalso if you want to know which classes to get good at if you plan on playing top level, fragger sawbonez, thunder, arty and skyhammer are all good picks. vassili is also used occasionally but there are safer bets. sawbonez isn't as much about aim as it is smarts, priority is you staying alive and reviving the others. the lineups when I participated were 1 soldier/2 medics/1ammo/offclass. soldier being fragger/thunder, the medics were both always sawbonez.
so there's no chance the scout class will be viable? :<

and you can't fucking tell if people are high open just by playing 1 dm map with him

if i've figured out anything about practicing dm, it's not do it for longer than 2 hours or else i might go crazy and end up slicing myself up, but that's probably just me
and maybe the problem isnt your dm; it might just be your gamesense
just remember not to pick 1v1s and you'll be fine
try watching more scout demos of people like enigma
you might also be able to figure out some aim gimmicks, too
edit: just realized around 6 other people said the exact same thing i did, so i'll try to help with some stuff

i could also go all ruwin mode and try to teach aim theory but really, you should learn that through experience

s1 = sensitivity you need
dpi1 = dpi you're going to use
dpi2 = dpi you're using
s2 = sensitivity you're using
dpi1 x s1 = dpi2 x s2
soooo using the skills i learned in the 6th grade, you substitute the values you have and leave the variable you dont alone
so, for example
1800 x s1 = 450 x 3.4
s1 = (450 x 3.4)/1800
s1 = 1530/1800
si = 0.85
okay i realize that isnt REALLY accurate, but i'm sure you can just adjust the values
