Swelan was the best lan ever on the social side.
I63 was the beat lan for me as a player.
CG19 was the best allround LAN
The best tf2 lan to date despite the issues. Honestly everything was super smooth until the finals which had some issues out of your control really. The group stages and playoff stages was super well organised and easy to know when the next game was. Looking forward to the next one!
First feedback would be to host the tournament on another stream. No offence to Kritzkast but it didnt really attract the numbers we usually see in this scale of tournament. I think it could have been hosted on TFTV stream since most of EU production for TFTV was there and it has a large 6v6 followers base. My 2nd feedback is to have a bigger invite group. My team only got to experience 1 close map the whole lan. I know there was some time constraints because of highlander which makes it feel even worse for me personally because I dont play or watch highlander. Third feedback was the rental computers. I feel like the AOC Monitors does not hold up, they have alot of screen tearing issues. Not sure if its me being super picky but I didn't like it at CG18 either. The rental computers were very expensive this year and alot of people had issues with FPS drops including me. It would drop down to 80 fps every now and then.
Besides these issues I've mentioned this was the best tf2 lan to date. The social aspect was great and the spectating was amazing. I agree with Kaidus regarding iseries vs CPH. I think we should not leave one of them behind but try to continue having both going forward.
Big thanks for the amazing work you guys do organizing and working hard out of passion for the game to make these lans so amazing. I can't stress enough how grateful I am.
I got it atleast 2 times a week. I reinstalled windows and it solved my issue. I literally tried every suggested fix on the internet but the only thing that actually worked long term was reinstalling windows.
Ez for Tre Kronor, 3 in a row lets go!
After alot of thinking I'd rather drop overclocking than portability. My final question is wether the Cryorig C7 and Noctua NH-L9i are good enough to cool the i7-8700k. I guess the turbo up to 4.7ghz makes it run hot but I dont know how to know for sure. What do you think? Also sorry for spamming the thread
Edit: checked tdp ratings, I guess I'll have to semi big either way even without overclocking
Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll have a look and see what I want to do, travelling portability is my main concern but I also don't wanna drop too much performance. If I dared I would delid :D
Makes sense, I guess I can go a little bit bigger. I'm really contemplating wether I wanna go bigger or drop the idea of overclock. Between the SG08 and Metis I'm leaning towards the Metis
Although it looks like my graphics card wont fit in the Metis looking at their specs
I'd like to go as small as possible since I ideally would like to put the pc in a backpack or carryon bag and bring to lan.
The Raijintek Metis or Silverstone SG08 feels a bit too big to be honest. Haha great mobo name
Case can absolutely be changed, but portability is number 1 for me and ofc being able to fit some decent things into it.
The cases I have been looking at is DAN A4 and ghost s1 mini
I dont need wifi or anything special other than that. I will always have a cable plugged into it. My plan is to get a 500gb m.2 and have 500gb m.2 and a regular 500gb ssd in the case. Then get some kind of usb to sata for my last regular HDD that I barely use but have some stuff on.
In my current rig I have it clocked to 4.9ghz, although using Noctua NH-D15.
Current SSD is not an M.2 but I'm planning on getting one.
Doesnt have to be that specific psu but its small, not sure if 600w is enough however.
Oh I just noticed you can't overclock with H370, glad I posted here. I'm open for suggestions on mobo's.
Thanks!
