XplayerI'm pretty sure a 650 ti boost or better will get you 120 FPS on TF2 easily.
Also, this should give you ideas of what you're looking for with your budget.
Personally, I can vouch for the GTX 760. I get easily 120 FPS on TF2 even on really busy servers and good frames on Ultra for pretty much every game I've tried.
Andy's build is a good place to start if you're willing to spend that kind of money (assuming you already have the 120 hz monitor that you want, which will add at least another $250). I'd consider putting an SSD in it though if not just for the OS operations.
Thx, 760 is the the best buy of the month according to russian tom's hardware, btw, so i might settle on it. Of course, i'll have ssd ^^

It seems like Seagate Barracudas are often DOA so I would go with a Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Blue/Black.
You can get the ASUS VG248QE as a 144hz monitor for $270 +/- from Newegg/Amazon (depending on when you buy it).

All i'm sure about is 120 Hz ~16:9, 24 Inch monitor. Processor choice is also pretty easy, it seems, (likely Intel Core i5-3570K).
The question is basically this: wot videocard/proc i need to run it all smoothly on a lil over 120 fps (although i heard of some 120*2+1 = 241 fps formula o.O) on high settings on any map with 24 ppl on it. Although i see most of plat players playing on very low graphics, so i wonder is it even possible with my budget.
Any piece of advice, knowledge, links is greatly appreciated, but please speak only if know wot u're talking about :)
