Paid for someone's spot ($14 in canadian) in open, several hours later they leave the roster. He also left to play for another team that has lots of other players and is still using my payment to stay paid on the roster. I'm really pissed off right now.

EDIT 2: he added me after, and although the situation wasn't perfect and an open team wasn't really saved, all is well. fuck the Canadian dollar though it was like $14 for league fees gotta love that Canadian economy

Last bump before deadline, seems like a lot of teams I contact wind up not giving me a tryout so I'm kinda lost out here. Would love to see if any mid-high open teams or whatever still want to give me a shot tomorrow (and beyond if you have the roster paid for but you somehow still need a demo), I promise I won't disappoint. I'm confident I can play at a playoff bubble level at the very least and am dedicated to moving that up. Might also consider trying out other classes (not roamer pls) if the team is pretty chill, but no promises here.

If worst comes to worst, I could backup for someone a little further down the road, but I have too much fun playing the game that I don't want it to come to that.

Considering how many people are on that list (you could probably make 2 or 3 teams from the extras even if all of the four teams are filled out), I'll throw in paying for leaders' league fees for two more teams (if a third is made totalling it all to seven teams from that list I might just pay for that too, it'd be cool if the entire pool of talent was used up)

I was also thinking of compiling the leaders' steam ids for open next season and putting it in a list for other leaders to add for scrims so that they don't need to check irc all the time, lemme know if that's a good idea because I'll put the work in

like if I said "hey, linking that pastebin was wrong" then it'd make sense, but I was more "hey, responding like he needs help or wants help is wrong".

why are people dissing on vari when the messages in the pastebins were private messages, I mean I'm all for encouraging people to play with non-hackers and all but complaining about what vari said and talking shit when he wasn't actually talking to anyone in public is pretty awful

Sails did a really good job last season on PROSKEEZ, always seemed to know the best time to back out (even if we didn't) and was never an unreliable healer. Really good atmosphere in mumble and a really cool guy. Couldn't recommend him more

The main point is that atm I live very far from toronto and have no plans to get there or have lodging, but my university residence is in Guelph which is a manageable 2 1/2 hours away where I can just take a bus right to the city. Getting into residence makes life easier for me and allows me to go back somewhere to sleep that night :(

It was a joke in case a new turbocop-like guy shows up. Don't hate the guy or anything, his casting was just very uninspired :V

Sigafoo was an awesome play-by-play and colour commentator, really sucks that we lost that. It's a good thing that gecks is still on board though, he's been the best tf2 overa caster IMO despite the lack of experience

As long as you pair him with an experienced HL guy then the casts should still be 10/10. Might want to groom a new play-by-play caster to take sigafoo's place though, sig could do both roles really well and now gecks probably can't cast everything

Also, is there much besides grizz to pair up with him that has a lot of experience? Please no turbocop :[
