i like intentionally shitty things sorry
DankMemeMaster420YUNGLUBEWell boys, gotta delete this now. The memes were dank while they lasted.
i don't agree with the notion of people leaving the game as a result of these behaviors, but they are certainly not encouraging to newcomers.
tossing racial/sexual slurs at people in pubs/lobbies
openly mocking less knowledgeable newbs in their own lft threads (HL classes especially)
openly mocking anyone with a UGC profile
people who become interested in comp hear about tf.tv as THE center for comp tf2. they come to take a shot at learning and playing, and this is how some people respond to them. this sends the message "you aren't welcome here". some may press on because they are passionate, others may decide that this first impression actually represents the community and go back to ignoring it. it doesn't, obviously, but they don't know that. we're supposed to be promoting this game, not convincing newcomers that it isn't worth their time. it really is that simple.

the resistance to the idea of at the very least not being a huge fuckin jagoff to strangers in a video game is disappointing. you guys want tf2 to grow but not if it means you might have to stop circlejerking long enough to appeal to people outside of the 6s bubble.

So I was playing a mumble required lobby, and when I joined the mumble Withadancenumber was there. I started talking to him cuz he was the only one I recognized, and I brought up his open team last season and asked how it felt to be carried by an invite player, jokingly, sort of. He didn't sound like he took it too seriously, and I didn't think he was mad throughout the lobby, but when the lobby was over, a friend told me that lucrative was really pissed at me. I decided to add lucrative to try to calm him down and apologize, even though I didn't think I did any wrong, and when he accepted two days later, that's what went down.
cole pls
OP, you will definitely have better luck finding a HL team as pyro in either UGC or ETF2L. Join the forums, make a thread, and look for some teams who may need a pyro. This site is more focused on 6s, where full-time pyros aren't really a thing.
I played on critsandvich for like 2 years because I thought the name was funny and then I became an admin. Eventually they made 2 steel UGC teams that died and I have been stuck there ever since :)
Saberif only tf2 had an icefrog
Apparently you can now trade and delete items in your backpack through a context menu. Neat, I guess.
why did this turn into shitposts
the video itself is kinda lame but the first song was alright at least
truth be told, this isn't really the place for pub videos. don't let that discourage you from making stuff and having fun with it though.
