If you still have that Nexus tablet in about a week I can probably throw down for that.

It's a troll unfortunately :/
the dedication is impressive tbh
judging from that twitter and video posted above, this has been years in the making. YEARS
I made a bootable USB with Windows 7 on and tried to reinstall. I got stuck again on the "Starting Windows" phase, but instead of restarting it's just frozen. I'm kind of afraid to do anything to it.
hurrykannFDisk or freeDOS.
I'm not sure how to utilize these programs, and my google fu is apparently not strong enough to figure out how to make them do what I'm trying to do. I'm kind of a dunce when it comes to troubleshooting things like this.
tehmasswith your drive letters being switched, Do you have your " c " drive plugged into the #1 sata port. Do you have any unusual test beeps at startup ? Try to see if your Fans and other plugs are fastened completely. Is it just restarting or are you getting a memory dump ? Did you check if your power supply can handle your new products ? allot of times if the voltage isnt enough it will shut off. Add me Im sure we can diagnose this for you
My drive with the boot record on it is plugged into the first SATA port. My case has no speaker so I don't get any beeps, but this new motherboard does have an LED that displays POST error codes. I was just about to list the indicated problem I usually get when the Startup freezes but now the system is behaving differently. Now I can't even execute Startup Repair like I was last night. Anyway, everything else is fastened properly, and my power supply is 550w, I'm confident it can handle the new gear. I added you on Steam so we can talk more directly.
No, I actually don't have an optical disc drive. Or a recovery disk.
Just installed a new mobo and CPU. I get about 2 seconds into the "Starting Windows" phase before the system freezes and restarts. I only get the option to run Startup Repair, but it has failed to solve the issue about 5 times now. System Restore doesn't solve it either. Not sure what to do at this point.
I should note that I discovered my old boot drive (used to be C) is now labeled X, and my other drive (used to be D) is now C. I have no idea how this happened. I made sure the correct drive has boot priority in BIOS but it didnt seem to make a difference.
