Since the creation of RGL, back in 2017, we've had a few different fees. We've had the division fee (which is half of the league fee) and the team fee (which is the other half of the fee.) The idea was that you pay the division fee one time, and you'd pay the team join fee anytime you switched teams. To disincentivize players from switching teams. This structure that we've had for over two years now has never really been tested fully. Our paid leagues have been generally only been to our Invite divisions, where there wasn't much team switching. Now that we've had our sixes league that is truly testing our payment system, it's become apparent that this thought process is flawed. Though bringing in extra money to grow the prize pool is great, the pain of having to pay partial fees again is not fair. RGL is about listening to our community and it's clear that this decision that we made 2 years ago was incorrect and we will be removing all fees related to switching teams effective immediately and will be refunding anyone who's paid these fees.
Also to explain what the Free Agent teams are. Free Agent teams are a place for players to register in RGL who do not have a team, but are eligible to play in an RGL match. For instance if you leave a team, you are placed onto the Free Agent team becuase you no longer have a team. If you sub for a team, but cannot join their roster, you can register as a Free Agent to be a legal ringer. Free Agent cost is half of whatever the current division fee is to join. If you were paid up on a team and left or were cut, then you would be on the free agent team fully paid.
