KanecoI guess now with the casual mode quickplay they're going full on quickplay and not going back.
More than anything I think it was quickplay that killed tf2, or at least a big part of the casual community. I remember portugal having 2 regular full 32 slots servers at all times, well even after 1am, full of regulars all the time, and it's where I made a lot of friends and started playing competitive.
I agree that Quickplay killed Community servers that didn't specialize in something (jump, surf, mge, dm etc...) While I think what Valve is trying to do is amp up the competitiveness of pubs and steer them towards being more collaborative and similar to matchmaking, I'm honestly unsure how Valve is going to deal people leaving, and also is the server list not usable at all? Like can people not join a specific map if they want to now?
