cool

the amount of fake stories being made up to demonize trump supporters is at an all time high

I don't doubt that, but at the same time not all of them are fake (what a surprise)

I have friends at NYU MSA who posted the vandalism on their door to Facebook/Snapchat
I have friends at Wellesley and Babson who saw/know the two Babson morons harassing Wellesley students

There's no need to demonize supporters, but it's also ridiculous to assume that there's no lack of shitheads that voted for him as well. Most people don't give a fuck about the normal voters, it's the few dangerous ones that everyone is worried about.

Nub_DanishCollaideNub_Danish you called him greedy, you didn't tackle any points you stated your feelingsThanks for answering my question for me. Since you clearly can't read, I will post what I said here instead.
Post 904: CollaideAgain, I'm not oblivious to it, what I am saying is that Trump is exploiting the broken system instead of proving himself to be principled.
Also stop putting yourself on a high horse. Nub_Danish you stated your feelingsLibtards and their fee-fees right xD
1. No, calling someone who isn't principled who does shit only for personal gain greedy is not a feeling
2. Believing in the notion that you yourself is the one true objective point of view is dangerous. If I could read your mind I would find a million things you believe merely because of feelings - that doesn't prove them right or wrong.
You do not know he is only doing it for personal benefit. For example if a person believed the government was corrupt, greedy or incompetent they would certainly avoid taxes. Not because fuck the people who my taxes support I hate them and only care about myself, but because they believe themselves to be able to do more good with the money i.e pay workers higher wages, give more benefits etc.
I'm not saying that trump avoids taxes and manufactures in china so that he can pay his american employees more or so he can give the american people a cheaper or better product, all I'm saying is it's a possibility. So calling him greedy is a feeling my dude you don't know why he does what he does, and if you've listened to him talk you would know hes pretty patriotic and feels the current government is incompetent so there certainly is the possibility he does a lot of what he does to help others.

Mate lol

I've lived in NJ all my life. I've heard stories of him being greedy since like 2000

AvastCalling current China communist might be one of the most inaccurate comparisons you could make to a theoretical communist state.

Very true. I should stress that my family's situation happened during times when communist was a much more accurate term to label the Chinese gov't (pre Maoism basically)

Anyways, this is getting very far away from the discussion between the big orange phony and the wall street puppet. Should probably go back to talking about how they're both terrible

Nub_DanishDid you read what i said i said if farmers or 'rural' people applied then they can move up, but they cannot move up without the governments approval. My original post didn't say you couldn't get rich or accomplish things in communist or socialist countries it said you didn't have the freedom to choose your what you do, if your grandparents hadn't been accepted to move then they wouldn't have gotten to go on to do these things.

If you're ever jailed or put into an internment camp for no reason other than fuck you, you're kind of educated so you don't understand the value of labor, by the government - try and apply for a get out of jail card, along with a socioeconomic moveup, tell me how that goes for you. I think I know my family's history a little bit more than you do. The only thing worse than being uneducated is knowing a little bit about something and thinking that they understand it (ala Dunning Kruger effect). Communism isn't some big bad scary ideology, just like how the West isn't some bastion of freedom and justice and prosperity.

Nub_Danishfrom what im reading about china people classified as 'rural' do not have the freedom to choose there position. they're given a area they can work and they can apply to work some in a 'urban' area doing non agricultural work, but thats not really freedom to choose what you want to do if the government decides they want you to stay in the farms you stay. (if you don't work where your designated you can't get a home from your employer, food, or healthcare). So no for these people it's not a matter of there not being infrastructure its them not being able to look for opportunities if the government doesn't approve

Ok let me put it this way. My family is very well educated, with my grandparents being professors at Tsinghua, which is the absolute best university in China. During, and before the Cultural Revolution, they were farmers in Manchuria (not only a relatively rural area, but controlled by the Japanese during WWII. No higher education, and during the CR they were relocated to what were known as Laogai, which were basically prison farms. Can you explain how former low level forced labor workers were able to become highly respected professors at one of the top universities in the world through locked economic/social opportunities?

Nub_DanishTERRYCREWSNub_DanishBoomfan56Nub_Danish free market is the only system that works and gives the largest number of people the greatest amount of happiness and freedom.lolwould you like to live in communist russia? china, venezula, north korea? nazi germany? to be a socialist or communist nation you directly give up your freedoms, you don't always lose as much as in say nazi germany but you always lose your ability to choose your economic position, you don't get to work really hard and get really rich becuase your smart and talented and what not.
Idk man, coming from a guy who is Chinese and has spent a significant amount of time there, the economic lock that you're claiming is complete bullshit. Sure there's farmers and shit that'll never advance, but that's because the infrastructure in some places is 3rd world level. Even then the education is compulsory for at least 9 years (so younger generations get education), and students literally compete for scholarships to schools based on their academic performance (i.e: you get to work really hard and get rich because you're smart and talented).
is that hong kong or the rest of china?

Both. I have family in Beijing and Manchuria, and I've studied abroad in HK.

I used to do 13 hour flights every year. I'd pull an all nighter before so I could pass out immediately on the flight, and also be slightly adjusted to jetlag when I landed. If I woke up on the flight I'd just watch movies.

dollarlayerWhy would Trump make pence do everything, that doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. Trump does 3-4 rally's per day. While Hillary does 1 a day if even that. He is working his ass off, why would he not do the same in the white house?

46% approval rating = most hated governors in recent history? Obama has had numbers around there, I guess he is one of the most hated presidents.

Hillary Supporter?

Not really, no. I tend to lean more towards democratic platforms, but I was set to vote for Trump before he announced Pence as his VP (and all the recent sexual assault allegations and stuff, but that came later anyways). I just happen to think that the current Trump/Pence package is a much worse deal than whatever corruption Hillary may or may not be associated with while in office. If he had picked a competent, respectable VP similar to Kasich I would've been fine voting Republican this election.

I think Owl can sum it up better than I can as an Indiana resident, but basically Pence is a religious nut who hides it pretty well. I personally don't care about religion, but when you try to sign into law shit like his RFRA, which opens up the possibility for religion based discrimination, and his staunchly anti-LGBTQ and abortion views, it's safe to say I don't agree with that one bit.

Why do I think Trump will be like GWB and not do anything? Well, I watched his debates and he's pretty solid for about 30 minutes, and then gets baited into rambling and literally trying to shittalk HRC the rest of the time. There's a difference between being non-politician-y honest and trying to wing a 90 minute debate with 30 minutes of material. Given that his focus can't even go through a 1.5 hour debate that he has weeks/months to prep for, I doubt he's able to focus on much during a presidency. I give it maybe a month or two, tops, before he lets Cheney jr. take over. A relatable analogy: Trump to politics is like when you try and recruit a dm lord to your 6s team and learn that he gets tilted to hell and back anytime he dies and thinks he got "baited". I don't want the political equivalent of a dm mongoloid as president.

Let's be real here if Trump were president he'd do fuck all and make Pence do all the foreign and domestic stuff (which means everything). And when Pence is one of the most hated governors in recent history for good reason, and says he wants to be like Cheney, warning signs should be hitting you in the face pretty hard right around now that he is probably a bigger issue than the big orange

#8 Question for people who quit TF2 in Off Topic

I'm busy as fuck now compared to before, so in the sense of getting more things done, yes, my life is a lot more productive/improved. Before this summer I'd been a starter on at least 1 team every season except 1 summer for the past 3 years, basically. I still play a few hours (<8 when not counting idling usually) every 2 week period, but it's only ever with friends, and I hardly play competitive outside of center and maaaybe subbing for a team. If I'm not asked to play, I don't play.

I'm getting back into fencing, which I took a break from last year, but the biggest changes in hobbies are going to the gym more frequently and software development. That and max credit load for this semester. Really though, the main reason I quit was because all my closest friends quit. If the old IFA peeps wanted to play on a team again, I'd probably join that.

I browse tftv and the ugc forums because it's still fun to read what the occasional idiot has to say. IMO it's even funnier from the outside looking in
