SDA isn't a record site. They're more interested in keeping an archive of high quality speedruns. www.tssbreak.com/links is a better place to search for world records. They get dozens of submissions every week.

I've run several games like A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, Escape Goat 2, and Star Wars: Battlefront II since I stopped playing TF2. It's a pretty amazing hobby, and the community is awesome. I'd encourage anyone who's even moderately interested to give it a try, and see what they can do.

A general piece of advice for picking games is to think of a game you could see yourself pouring a thousand hours into, or completing a hundred times or more. This is pretty key because it's very easy to get frustrated with mistakes or randomness after a while, and it helps a lot to love what you're playing.

The Link to the Past No EG run will blow your minds. In general, the entire list is solid, and it's incredible how good the guys on the games committee (especially Romscout) did with the nearly 800 hours of games submitted for a 155 hour marathon. Huge props to them, and I can't wait for the schedule to come out so I can find out exactly how much sleep I'm gonna lose.

Thanks everyone, that was an amazing run. Yagamoth and I did a bunch of practice runs together, but none of them came close to the run we had in the marathon.

There's some pretty amazing games going on. Super Monkey Ball 2 will be a close race between 3 amazing runners, Banjo-Kazooie is being played by the best BK player, Streemerz is being raced between the 2 guys competing for the WR. The Super Star Wars run will destroy your childhood for those of you who played it as a kid. Super Mario World No Cape No Star World race between 2 of the best runners. Prayerwarriors and Typing of the Dead by Peaches will be hilarious. The DKC Block is gonna be crazy, and I can't go without hyping the Secret of Mana co-op run. Next week is gonna be insane.

Good roamer with some excellent DM. He should do great on a mid/high open team that's looking to make playoffs.

I'd trust a shit game dev with Battlefront before I'd let some of these people anywhere near it. At least then we'd get something unique like the first two games were. Battlefront has never been a "perfect" game meant to sell millions. In fact, the first two were severely flawed, and yet incredibly charming and fun. They captured the feel of what a fun Star Wars shooter would be instead of going with the CoD reskin that we're going to get instead.

It felt like the server kept coming inches away from crashing itself during the middle of my match last night. It would freeze for 2-3 seconds at a time, and then warp everyone around.

Edit: it was a Texas server, but I don't recall the number.

If this were true, Twitch wouldn't exist, or if it did, it wouldn't get nearly the number of users it does.

One problem with that for ESEA matches is that the color of each team isn't determined until all players are readied up.

Maybe you could move the league logo to the top left so the bottom bar isn't as crowded.
