#18 Is music objective or subjective? in Music, Movies, TV

Vlad whilst I agree with what you say, I'm 99% sure crabf was kidding and there's no need to get so toxic. There was another music related thread last week were you also went a bit off the handle about roughly the same thing. Just keep it civil my dude :)

try reading that thread again friend, i think you are mistaken

I am mistaken

this is objectively bad.

i wouldnt call this music. just because its played on a piano and hes reading notes, i would still say that theres no apparent rhythm, tempo or key that makes this musical in any way. might as well just play a bunch of white noise and say "look this music sucks".

What is / What counts as music? is another great music-related-philosophical thread idea but let's focus on the objectivity or lack-thereof of music for this one.

InternetIntellectual has a very interesting answer but I would still like to see what everybody else has to say

Edit: Strikethroughd the part where I was mistaken

jetzzzzzthere is music that is objectively good.

there is no music that is objectively bad.

This statement does not hold water. If there is music which is objectively good, then automatically, any of the remaining music which isn't categorized as being such automatically becomes objectively bad music.

#9 is it worth it to buy a new mouse right now? in Hardware

Okay really? A guy asks a fucking question for mpuse reccomendations and y'all bring your aids brit circle jerk into this..no one outside of your in group thinks it's funny

And this happens in every fucking thread. Leave it in your own circle jerk threads rather than completely unrelated and productive threads.

#95 Unpopular video game opinions in Other Games

Indie games died in 2012

Phil Fish may have seemed egotistical in Indie Game: The Movie and afterwards, but I honestly agreed with a majority of the things he had to say and felt his attitude towards things was justified considering what kind of a person he appears to be in the movie.

I think it should be round the same time as last year, so late august-ish. Dates haven't been specified yet if I'm not mistaken.

ROCKET_LAUNCHER_TF2did you finish the cereal now

I go in for work later this week so no :( I've had plenty other bowls of cereal tho :D

FryskWhat's the hardest trick you can do? What's your favourite trick that you can't do?

I literally practice no flatground tricks whatsoever. Whenever I skate all I practice is flowing around the park as swiftly as possible cos that's what I find the most fun. Practicing tricks is just too frustrating for me to find it fun and put the effort into it. I think treflips are really cool, especially when landed very cleanly :)

ChrAshDo you/did you/do people around you smoke? Now that you know what the symptoms are, do you reckon you've had one before?

I smoked for three years and quit last October. A lot of people, especially younger crowds smoke in Malta, so I do find myself a bit more prone to second hand smoke than I'd like to at time. I think there have definitely been a couple times before I went to hospital where I felt the sharp pain in my chest, but I didn't go to hospital those times because it subsided almost immedeatly

ChrAshIs this a primary or have you got any other resp problems?

This is the first time I've been to hospital for any respiratory issue

ChrAshDid you need/have aspiration or chest drain?

I was given a chest drain from Friday till Sunday

ChrAshWhat imaging did you get (CXR probs, CT? Ultrasound?) Did you take a photo?

Many CXRs and a couple ECGs. In my follow up appointment with the doctors they'll take a final CXR and they said they wanted to perform and ultrasound on my heart since I have a pigeon chest to make sure everything's in order.

ChrAshDid they warn you about flying and deep sea diving? It also worth knowing that non-invasive ventilation is a bit more of a risk to you in case that ever comes up.

Yes. I was told to avoid flying for the next few weeks and that I am not to scuba dive ever. They also said that I am basically not allowed to become a pilot, which is okay cos I never really had plans. Also what exactly is non-invasive ventilation?

ChrAshDo you pay for healthcare in poland?

I'm actually Maltese. We have a national hospital which we pay for in taxes, but we can also go to private hospitals which can be paid for.

ChrAshI've never seen a PSP before but have requested imaging looking for them so this is interesting as shit to me. Appreciate that the questions are more than a little personal so tell me to fuck off if you want! Hope you're feeling better buddy!

I'm not sure if by PSP you're referring to the pneuomothorax (on my medical report it was abbreviated as PNX). If by imaging you're asking for me to scan and send you a few of the xrays they've taken, I definitely don't mind doing that, it's just that I was not given the xrays myself, however I will try to ask for them and follow up with you on that :) Thanks for the questions <3

#54 Am in the hospital AMA in Q/A Help

Hey all. Would just like to let you know that I am now fresh out of hospital and am feeling a lot better :) However the doctors said that there is a very good chance I might end up there again with the same thing happening to me, at least the next time it happens I should be in good hands.

It's good to be in the comfort of my own home, away from all the smelly old people with dementia and the microwaved-to-shit hospital food. Thank you all so much for helping fend off my boredom with your questions <3 (however feel free to keep asking me stuff lol)

bknJust got released, turns out I have pneumonia. Both of our lungs are fucked snack, although I think you got it worse than I. Hope you're doing better bud, also I didn't know you were such a big skateboarder. I fuck with the dreads :). Who/what is your favorite skateboarding movie and or skateboarder if you have one, I used to skate alot when I was younger but now just occasionally.

Sorry about the pneumonia my dude. I hope things turn out better for you. And thank you very much for the compliments and well wishes. I don't have a favourite skatemovie, but my favourite skater is Jason Park. I love his abstract approach to skating, and his selection of spots and tricks is something I really haven't seen out of any other skater. His flow switches from slow to fast and vice-versa all the time and I think that inspires my style cos I like to powerslide a lot and grind on really unconventional edges, like the corners of pyramids :)
