joshuawnyou're underestimating fortnite's building & editing mechanics; top-level competitive play is far removed from casual play. just like with tf2, any semi-competent player can stomp pubs. i guarantee you that the game's building & counter-building metas haven't been fully realized yet.
Does not change the fundamentally non competitive nature of randomized loot.
Allso from a spectator and casting point of view battle royal has to be a complete nightmare.

On the plus side just about any GPU should be enough for this game. If you are desperate for a cheap GPU check out craigslist or facebook. A HD 6850 or GTX 470 should be more than enough for 144hz TF2 @ 1080p and a config (i wasn't GPU limited on my ancient HD 4890 and i5 4690k @ 4.5ghz) and can be had under $50.
