I was a medic on 2fort. The game ran at 20 fps on lowest settings on my geforce 6200.

sac but that doesn't mean people were irrational to be in shock, or afraid, or angry and wanting vengeance?
When you look at that compared to the US's kill count. Yes it is totally irrational. You think think Osama just got up one day and thought to himself "its time to kick ass and fuck goats and im all out of goats"? That there was no reason for it? Terrorism in the middle east is the US's own creation.
I would go so far as to say the US deserves far worse for what they did to Mohammad Najibullah. The irony that the US was shot in the foot with it's own gun isn't lost on me.
HedoKingogluI think the fact that there's so much open corruption against him should tell you who to vote.
Because the republican party and millionaires are not known for corruption. No sir. Trump is a buffoon and gets called out as such in media. He is such a buffoon that not even the US elites want him because him coming to power would be a textbook case of accelerationism. This doesn't make Hillery better. I am of the personal opinion that they both deserve to be shot. But to say that Trump is getting more negative press for no reason is lunacy.
eeeYou're actually not wrong here. Both US parties have a heavy focus on interventionism and world policing. I assume we're going to disagree about the value of that but yeah you're right. You go on to talk about interventionist policies but I honestly think you're being myopic. While the US might have destabilized the region and increased the amount of terrorism as a result, saying that we shouldn't have done it or that we should pull out is a mistake imo
Killing millions for a gas pipeline or so that Libya couldn't create a pan-african currency regardless if it was in the US's economic interest should not have been a option. I for one don't consider American lives or American profits more valuable than the lives of people in the ME. The US staying isn't helping because all the US is doing is sponsoring "moderate terrorist".
The world geopolitical stage cares about the Middle East for reasons that are obviusly not the best interests of the region, and its probable that interventionism since the collapse of the Ottoman empire has led to the formation of all the weird borders that create tension in the region, but to say that not getting involved 100 years ago or not staying involved in the interim would've been smart makes the assumption that we're all better off had the ME been self-governing.
Considering the ME was well on it's way to 1st world living standards and mostly secular governments before the US started sponsoring jihadist i think it is safe to say that they would have been better off.
We can't say if that's true or not, but we can say that we've had multiple economic booms that depended heavily on the cheap and available resources being easy to get into the world economy, so clearly some good has come of it.
Fuck you and fuck the world the world economy. Your smartphone isn't worth the genocide of the ME.
Saying we should back out at this point is naive though in my opinion. It assumes that the Middle East could be self-sustaining against foreign interests without the West's help (which seems unlikely)
THE WEST IS THE FOREIGN INTEREST THAT CAUSED THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
and it assumes that political forces that lead to both terrorism and oppression would simply cease to exist or be quelled from within. Considering we've managed to cause more than a few revolutions in the area over the past century and the best we've really managed to do is get leaders who are mostly friendly to the west to play ball for a decade or two, it seems unlikely that a a government that would be beneficial for any of us would arise organically.
You've made your bed, now lie in it.
So, I think you're actually right, we really shouldn't be involved in the area, and pushing for more involvement is only going to lead to more proxy wars and possibly lead to something far worse. But I also think you're wrong for trying to suggest that a viable or realistic strategy is to let the ME figure itself out.
Letting the ME figure itself out is better than having the US support religious extremist. If the US is going to be involved they are going to support what is in the US's interest. Which is the plundering of the ME.
downvote me
Don't mind if i do~

garrappachc It's just extremely difficult to maintain the code.
How hard would it be for them to scrap the whole thing, port the resources over to source 2, and start from scratch like they did with DOTA 2?
garrappachcThe problem here is that whilst most of weapons we consider broken are O.K. for pubs (i.e. casual) where you have 12 players in each team, they become O.P. in a 6v6 format.
This is a common misconception. Just because pubbers don't have to skill level to do something doesn't suddenly make it balanced. The vast majority of the weapons that are broke in 6v6 would be broke in casual if the players where good enough and coordinated enough to abuse them.
MR_SLINThat's just a meme dude. They work on TF2 for a living and they obviously have to playtest their changes.
Sadly it isn't, Last time i got to see some TF2 dev profiles they all had less than 1000 hours (granted i haven't seen them in a long time). This is compounded by the fact that they are almost certainly not playing with or against anyone decent. I would hardly call playing against some of the subhumans that inhabit public servers to be legitimate experience that would make you capable of balancing this game.
MR_SLINSame. I figured since we're all in the same boat, I might as well share what I know.
I understand where you are coming from but i think you have far to much confidence and optimism for the TF2 team.
The biggest issue with the TF2 devs is that they don't even play there own game.
I don't have anywhere else to go myself.
Everything is either a genre i have no interest in (MOBA), incredibly shallow (Overwatch), simply don't find fun (CS:GO), or even deader than we are (Reflex).
MR_SLINSo they've got the team size figured out, now they need to figure out class limits.
They could start with 2 on everything.
Can you really justify having class limit 2 on some classes and class limit 1 on others?
Yes. TF2 classes are built to be good at different things. Some of those things are fine with 1 but broken with 2. Other classes are perfectly fine with 2 and in fact make the game pace better than if they where limited to one. We have done prolander before. It was garbage.
Has anyone tried playing with all of the unlocks and all of the classes unlocked? No? Okay let's try it!
Yes
If it was viable we would be doing it already.
Nobody will die, and at least we can cross this format off of our list if it sucks.
That is the problem. WE ARE DYING.
That's their mentality.
It isn't a very good one.
And then they talked to competitive players like B4nny, Truktruk, and such just to make sure that it'd be playable. If it sucks, tell them why it sucks. If it really really sucks, run 4 heavies and try to get a high win percentage. That'll show them.
Yeah lets waste entire seasons with MEME formats! That will totally work! It isn't like the NA TF2 scene is sitting on the precipice or anything! That TOTALLY wont chase off 50+ % of our player base.
Really broken things like hacking and abandonment have been addressed,
Yeah that is why i got paired against the same hacker 3 times in a row yesterday and got a 3 day ban from mm for leaving before the game started because i didn't want to play against or with the same hacker again.
4 heavies I'm not convinced that it has been a major problem thus far. In fact at the highest levels of matchmaking I haven't seen people run more than 2 medics on a team, and generally speaking people are running standard compositions because those are the strongest. 5 scouts on a team is actually not that good, and 5 medics on a team isn't really that good either. Even running something like 3 demos doesn't seem to be that broken when I've played it.
People being terrible at the game or not tryharding and doing things that would make the game less fun for them does not mean that such rules are viable for a actual league where people would be willing to do such things to win. Also as it stands rank means less than nothing.
in our minds, steps 2 through 4 have already been taken care of through 9 years of competitive TF2 playtesting
Because it has.
Every possible format has been extensively play tested with multiple seasons.
5v5 is to sparse
4v4 even more so to the point it that ruins basic class balance
8v8 is to many to organize, impossible to lan, and difficult to schedule
9v9 even more so than 8v8 and impossible to make a MM system for as wait times would be horrendous
Class limits are a absolute necessity in a class based game. Even Overcuck has them.
Valve needs to get there head out of there ass and actually take a good long look at what the competitive TF2 community has created. There silent communication style DOES NOT WORK for TF2 because none of the devs are even competent at this game. It would help a bunch if at least one of the devs took the time to play competitive TF2 at a reasonable level (IM/High). Hell i am certain the TF2 community would be more than willing to help in such matters. That fact of the matter is if you are not familiar with the game then you are not qualified to be developing it.
you should probably add mat_phong 0
game looks better with it off
Found it.
tf_scoreboard_mouse_mode
Ever since i started using this config my mouse cursor pops up when i open the scoreboard. Halp plz.
faggetScrewballMM Unlock after 200 hours play timeI think if they make new and way better tutorials and force them or suggest them the first time someone opens tf2, this won't be needed.
It is more for a casual hacker filter. IMO VAC needs hardware bans like Overcuck. Or at least give me the ability to block individual players so i don't get pared with the same hacker 3x in a row.
