#5 what we like from maps in Map Discussion

Consider designing good places to hold, spots where a soldier can easily jump to gain height advantage, plenty of double jumps for scouts, a few sticky trap spots.

More importantly, reasonable distances for forward spawns, and no insane sniper sight lines. I know it sounds very abstract, but those are some of the actual good things on a map.

mauss add chi2 to that list

I mean chi2DM, that server never gets love, thats why is always empty. Meanwhile there are 15 people queued up for the other 2 servers.

#17 ESEA playoff schedule in TF2 General Discussion

level of idiotcy on these forums went up, while people who actually play the maps went down

gpit is bad for the finals because one sniper pick, one spy pick or suicide can decide an entire round. you can play the better tf2 and still be forced to lose, good for spectators but not good for deciding which is the better team.

#21 Season 13 map? in Map Discussion

I hope this brings back the movement to make cp_profront. I also remember a discussion about cp_quay or something, it looked like a good map. Otherwise, follower or warmfront with their flaws and all are both better than cp_ashville

#6 144hz monitors in Hardware

I think we had this thread on natf2, and we concluded that it wasn't worth it. 120 to 180 would be a lot more noticeable than 120 to 144. But, if you have the money, go for it. Its your money man

#12 Staying positive? in Q/A Help

Positiveness comes from realizing that the result only matters if you pin all your hopes into winning. A good player will get something out of a game/scrim even if it is a loss. If you lose every match but you felt that you are now 100x better than you were before, then that is an accomplishment.

Don't care about being good, care about getting better.

#5 pistol aim in TF2 General Discussion

play quake to develop tracking, then learn how and when to use the pistol. scattergun is kinda good so sometimes it is better to just reload one shot than switch to pistol
