NS2 is an alive game. please come back to it guys.
Hearthstone isnt bad, if they are into it. It can teach them a lot about arithmetic and logic. Its also not fun whatsoever, so they might not pick it up.
Gotta love the clips with the slow descent into market garden kills. The panic is palpable.

Do you guys think the community is too antagonizing?
Its also the fact that valve balances 3-4 weapons every 6 months or so, if that. That is just not enough. With the recent sticky nerf removal, you can be sure valve will be even MORE conservative with the changes they make to the game.
When the community cant count on valve to respond to weapon imbalances in a good amount of time, we're forced to take it upon ourselves to try and make the final decision. And again, we're not designers. We often make the choice that benefits us the most in the short run (which almost always ends up being keeping the status quo).
Which is why valve is gonna be required at some point. But, if all you want to do is see what currently works, I dont think anyone will stop you.
Maybe someone in the community should try and open up a dialogue with valve. Last bit of direction we got from them was second hand from sal and extine, and basically said "you guys should maybe do what dota does". We arent designers, and there is no one there to really make the decisions for the competitive community. There is a just a lot of bickering, and then nothing really happens.
The execution of the pick/ban was pretty much as vague and the instruction. we gave it half an attempt, valve didnt even acknowledge it, then we all forgot about it/called robin walker a cunt. Im not super sure how invested robin and valve are in competitive tf2, but its probably worth reaching out to them.
eeebest nerf would've been bell curve damage but valve hates things
heh we did that on tightrope too.
Anyway, I think a sentry Nerf is inevitable. I don't think valve realizes how many sentry nests were taken down only because the best player in the pub could play demo.
Its honestly kind of weird they didn't include one in this patch.
turtsmcgurtsBLoodSirereverting to the old damage and reducing the sticky clip (either to 4 or 6)i like this one the most because not only does it lessen spam, it would also increase the amount of aim people put into stickies knowing that you have 4 less in your clip.
That's funny, this was in a tightrope update and people on this forum said that it was a terrible Nerf.
cyzerThe pub players being put off thing never made sense to me, pub players who want to play competitive don't accidentally stumble in to a more competitive game. They aren't like "WHOOPS I'm playing a pick up 6v6 game." They make a conscious decision to try competitive out and realize the same things they were doing before might have to change..
Its not about getting them to start playing competitive matches, its about keeping competitive matches relevant to pub play. When a highlander starts using a different unlock, you start seeing it all over the place in pubs. People watch competitive matches because they want to see the game they play, played well. If you make the game completely different, there is no motivation for them to watch.
Maybe youre just used to the high amounts of damage you used to be able to deal before, and anything less is just not cutting it? In that case, its just a matter of getting adjusted.
MapleI can't tell if it's because I hadn't played in a while, but I swear rocket jumping feels easier/different now, and I've heard some other people say the same. I'm hitting more pogos than I used to and I think I'm flying further too. Can anyone confirm or am I just a moron?
Better fps is making your jumps tighter? Idk.
4812622there's literally nothing you can do as a medic except stand really far back
Dont worry, youll figure out something.
Evolve is coming out later this year and they seem to really be pushing the competitive thing. Though idk if that's the kind of thing you're looking for.
