sky_wouldn't be surprised it was an accidental release seeing as there was no news at all from valve's side of things. aside from a few small bugs, it was mostly playable.

This is valve's own fault. they designed and launched this game with a casual gaming experience in mind and is being treating tf2 as such for almost a decade. realistically speaking, releasing matchmaking isn't gonna solve anything until comments like those are not the representation of the majority of this game's player-base. it's foolish to create a player-base with a casual mindset and then expect them to have the maturity or sense of judgment to abide to a competitive structure. you'd literally have to brainwash these people to negate the mentality they created during years of casual tf2
