#42 Nervous in TF2 General Discussion

Last season was the first time since season 5 i fully started and played every game. The first game i was a nervous wreck and did terrible, my hands were actually shaking in pregame. I went back and rewatched my demo and literally picked apart everything i know i did wrong. I felt a lot better realizing i made stupid mistakes and pinpointing them so they didn't happen again. 2nd match, still nervous, but i had a game plan and did much better. Like anything, it's more mental than you think. Few people can just go into something balls out and do good (and we're not just talking about video games).

Biggest thing to remember - everyone has played bad at some point or another. It happens to everyone - it's inevitable. It's all about what you do to improve that will make you successful or not.

#87 ESEA s14 Invite Gossip Thread in TF2 General Discussion

Anyone doubting enigma on scout is an idiot. He has probably been the most consistent scout in invite history, and he is beyond annoying to play against.

#42 Origins of Your Name/Alias in Off Topic

Like 1000 other turbonerds in the late nineties, i thought using sephiroth as my gaming alias made me badass. Unfortunately there was another sephiroth that played competitive TFC in the same leagues as me, and it was really annoying when people confused us.

Much like tf2 now, i use to pub engy TFC alot. In TFC, instead of a pistol the engy had a gun that shot a green laser. I use to use that all the time just to annoy people (it had a push/stop motion effect if it hit). One night on a pub, i got a ton of kills with it - some 8 year old kid on voice chat kept yelling "oh my god, he keeps killing them with his phaser". He literally said phaser about 30 times...so i figured, eh why not.

#81 What yall think of... in TF2 General Discussion

Pretty insane video...it's hard to tell from that alone though, but nice to see he was willing to give up a demo.

If any of you caught the process 6v11 charity match...there's nothing more out of the ordinary that this guy did then what powah did in that ....and that is not to be meant as an insult. He hit some crazy shots, and so did this guy.

Also he misses alot of shots, and the ones he does hit don't seem to have the over the top jerk effect of a trigger.

#45 thanks guys in TF2 General Discussion

DDoS'ing like this and ruining matches is pretty much the most pussy way of being a troll. Seriously some people have absolutely no life at all.

It's a total shame what happened...like a few others above, this was the first open match I've watched in quite some time and playground tactics were really outclassing CB, i was very impressed with their team symmetry on pushes. On top of that, they even made a push all the way to last when they were down 5v6..very impressive against another top seeded team.

While CB shouldn't be chastised, since they did wait, i would not consider this a true win for them. It's a shame they didn't just play 5v5 and take the loss, because everyone (including them) has to know PT would have won.

The worst part is this win would have put them in the upper finals, so now they have a chance to lose in the lower bracket and miss that chance all together. Also who is to say this asshole won't try to ddos them again?? Talk about a shitty situation.

#97 Wow really? in TF2 General Discussion

If they can prove someone intentionally ddos'ed them during a match...the match needs to be replayed or if the opposing team was in on it, disqualify their asses immediately. Not to mention, esea should permanently ban whoever was in on this. That's just fucking pathetic that someone would actually still do something like this.

#4 ASUS G53JW-3DE 3D 120hz 15.6" Laptop for Sale in Hardware
Just play Scout.

problem solved

I could have not said what keys aren't working and just be a dick. Considering the fact that a replacement keyboard on ebay is literally twenty bucks i don't see the big deal.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/200904397192?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649

This has been the laptop i've traveled with for work and other ventures, however now that i'm not really traveling anymore i don't need it. This is pretty much the perfect laptop for source games. The keyboard does need replaced, but it will cost only twenty to thirty bucks to do so.

if you want any details, msg me on steam...this is a killer price if you are looking to get a 120hz laptop.

#34 kill me in TF2 General Discussion

Lange - did you have a tech come out and check the line that's running into your apartment? I had a similar problem that kinda just happened all of a sudden when i lived my my old apartment complex. I requested a tech come out after 30 minutes of phone troubleshooting (i.e. reboot your pc and router).

The tech came out and traced the line from the main box all the way to the port in my utility room - he found the copper connection that it rode in on was loose and replaced it, bingo problem solved. Worth a shot if nothing else, and it should be free as tech support is included in just about in every contract.

#78 LIST OF USEFUL TF2 TIPS in TF2 General Discussion

Stay positive - with any type of sport (or esport lolz), the mental game is fully involved. I've been on many teams, and nothing is more of a downer than when people start raging or calling out teammates. Hands down, the worst thing you can do during a match and will almost always make things go to the toilet. It's fine to adjust to issues and recognize problems, but don't shit on your teammates - if there is a weak link, wait until after the match to discuss it with the player in question...and better yet, discuss as a team.
