#6 Account Security in Off Topic
zigzterI think I used my old Hotmail pass for a few accounts, but I don't remember which ones..not any important ones though.

Might be a keylogger. I have Steam set to auto log-in, but somewhat recently entered my Hotmail password in. I did do a search with Anti-Malware and SpyBot. AM didn't find anything but SpyBot found a bunch of "Win32.Downloader.gen". A Google search of that gives some pretty vague descriptions that make it sound like it could be anything.

Edit:
#4. Good point about the phone security, didn't think about that. I'll switch it over.

Never heard of SpyBot. There are only 2 scanners you will ever need: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (I assume that's what you mean by AM) and Microsoft Security Essentials. They are the best scanners out there and both free. You can also use VirusTotal to scan URL's and apps in case you are really nervous.

Also, this isn't mine, but it's a tutorial on how to see if you are keylogged or not (for Windows peeps). This applies to times where the key-logger is FUD.

#4 Account Security in Off Topic

@Above He has SG on, look at what the tab says.

I would recommend Gmail.

Even if you were keylogged, they would need your phone in order to access your gmail. Best security, imo, since no one overseas can just steal your phone. At least I hope not.

Hotmail also has pretty weak security. Easy for people to SE their way into your account. There's also the chance that you are either key-logged or went to a fake sign-in site.

#53 August 27 TF2 Update in TF2 General Discussion

That new HUD thing is amazing. Won't have to guess what weapon I'm using for some classes anymore.

#14 kid adding people trying to sell steam accounts in Off Topic
WaldoThere's also the fact that it's against steam TOS to sell/buy steam accounts, hence why it's probably a scam.

That doesn't mean it's a scam. While I'm not saying it isn't, people steal and sell accounts everywhere. XBL is another prime example.

Chances are the account posted in the OP isn't even the real owner, he probably stole/phished it.

Still should report it.

ghos7ayamatera recently got a big update which added some objective based OWPvP
which basically consists of 50 people doing all their aoe shit and if you touch the edge you die

we are also supposed to finally get new end game content sometime next month

Yea, it sucks a bit, especially since I'm a melee, but the smaller encounters (30v30) are pretty damn fun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjSzKZScHQs

One of the raids.

ckapSpeaking of TERA.... I've always wanted to get into an MMO and do raids and the like, but they all seemed the same.

Cast spell on wolf. Wolf die. Collect pelt for quest. Finish quest. Fist self in woods.

I've heard a good deal of praise about TERA, is it different from that sort of thing?

Quest wise, no, it will be the same, but with actual fighting instead of clicking a button that aims and attacks for you.

However, once you hit 30, you can level through PvP in a 20v20 A/D mode.

Also, I don't mind talking about it, but we should probably have another thread for this rather than post in a thread originally dedicated for FF14.

unftera has an update? hmmm :O

It's had an update just about every month for the past couple of months. Next month they are adding some new dungeons in the form of set raids (think it's 5,7, and 10 people raids or something like that).

Depending on when the last time you played it, if you have, a lot has changed.

But yea, to keep this on topic and to make the -frag nerd lord sperg out more, the game is trash. In the words of my friends, "They didn't learn a damn thing".

Terrible game, imo.

Servers crashing in Early Access, instances down, boring as fuck tab targeting, cutscenes that take ages, 20 minutes until you actually see any type of 'action'.

Basically, if you like FF, like story, and hate gameplay, it should be alright.

Otherwise I wouldn't touch it.

Pros
+Very indepth Character creation
+Has a story

Cons
-everything else (boring tt, long ass cutscenes, clunky movement, servers exploding before release constantly)

Source: Played Beta and friends are currently in EA bitching about the instances dying constantly and are only playing it to waste time for the Tera update.

Note that we are spoiled with Tera's non-tab targeting fighting, so if you like WoW, you could also like this.

#108 What did YOU do today? in Off Topic

Woke up at 1 or 3 pm, can't remember, played Tera for a good 12 or so hours straight while watching Saltybet and i49 and playing Pokemon Emerald on the side, and now I'm going to bed at 6 AM. I also forgot about K.K. Slider again, fml.

I've been doing this since I found out about it 3 days ago. Is it sad that I get in mumble and all we talk about is Saltybet?

#591 The International 3 in Esports
brownymasteratmoI really enjoyed this game, but I don't really understand Dota. What are you guys crying about Admiralbulldog for?Alliance couldn't win a team fight so they decided to just spread them thin and split push. Then they commited to backdooring the final towers and shrine so navi couldn't leave their base anymore, as it was basically over since alliance can get 3 heroes inside of navi's base at any time. s4 also denied navi from returning to base to defend by interrupting their teleports to base.

So they played smart and won?

Why is everybody angry over that? People do this in TF2, as well, it happens everywhere. Competitions are as much brawn as they are brains, kudos to them for outsmarting them.

Anyways, as someone who hates Moba's, that definitely sparked interest in it. Guess I'll have to give it another try.

gg's, was exciting.

I've never watched a DotA 2 game in my life and only played it once, but damn that was some intense shit. The fucking counter-b8 was great.

#11 S11 UGC 9v9 Maplist in TF2 General Discussion
MiNiRhetoricalAnarchistSo glad they brought borneo back, that was a fun map
its only preseason, they should just replace swiftwater with borneo. They also REALLY need to fit in cp_steel

They really can't, and it's because no one fucking chose it during summer season.

They did the only logical map choice with swiftwater. Maybe people will stop being bitches now and will actually use summer season to test maps for seasons that actually matter.

Anyways, play your preseason match for a change, help borneo become a staple map, then we can get swiftwater out of the rotation until it's fixed up.

#18 Pikmin 3 in Off Topic
MikeikeikeikeikeikeNiko_JimsMikeikeikeikeikeikepikmin 1 was good. didn't really like the 2nd one.
The fuck you say? P2 was amazing, granted it was a bit more casual, the 30 day limit got old when I could beat the game in 21-24 days. P2 felt much more adventurous, the scenery was very nice, and White pikmin were the best. idk, it's hard to see 1 being better than 2 when 2 improved and added things with the only difference being no limit. In turn, we got dungeons, multiplayer, challenge mode, updated graphics, nicer looking areas, 2 new pikmin (I'll agree that they were slightly OP, at least purple, but they brought new challenges to the game), and some neat boss battles.

As for 3, I'm so sad I don't have a Wii-U. I've been waiting for this game for years, and I have no idea when I'll be able to grab a Wii-U.
"adventurous" is too vague to mean anything, and "the scenery was very nice" is just stupid to argue when you're saying a game is better. games are about gameplay not graphics. unless you're the average consumer who goes "zomggg zombies and nazis with dubstep lens flare ZOMGGG!!!" but i dont care enough about pikmin so

It's called "immersion" and it gives the game another reason on top of the gameplay the game offers. Also, I pointed out all of the gameplay mechanics that it improved on, so I don't see where you are going with this.

MightyMeThe sound of pikmin dying is still so sad :(

I did my best to save every fucking Pikmin I had. The worst was when they would get stuck in the water, and I was just spamming the whistle to save them, but there would always be that one that could make it. Or the times with that fucking bird or rolling thing that would just decimate you.

Holy fuck, I hated those feelings.
