#33 ETF2L Admin Inconsistency: Episode Two in TF2 General Discussion
Scruff_MuukiThe grand finals date was supposed to originally be on the 1st of april, and it was delayed to be at the 8th at latest. At the time of writing, it is the 18th in all of Europe. I wonder which team is behind this? Tune in next time to find out.I have to take partial credit for that, I tried to organise my teams playoff games for after lan cause of lan scrims and such making it hard to play for those attending lan, and I also talked to some of the other leaders and an admin who agreed that it was good, I wasn't here for the first playoff game and didn't leave strict enough instructions for scheduling so things kind of got backtracked but the intention always was to have things happen in the week after lan.

tbh the original fault is an admin team thinking that a huge LAN won't cause scheduling conflicts, it was more of a case of pointing out that this is not even close to being the first time when it is stated that "X has to be played by Y" and it ends up happening half a month later (or more)

#1 ETF2L Admin Inconsistency: Episode Two in TF2 General Discussion

Hello, it is Me again, here with another episode on questionable decisions by the ETF2L Admin Team

https://puu.sh/A5o8C/18bc8e9ae6.png

https://puu.sh/A5obs/707fb3434c.png

The meaning of the word "Repeal"

As you can see from exhibit 1, the admin team clearly states that this major warning cannot be repealed, which I have provided a link for where you can see what this word means if you are not well versed in english.

Exhibit 2 showcases the lack of this Major Warning though, even though it was applied before and apparently cannot be repealed.

I wasn't going to make a thread about this at first, since when I first noticed the lack of a warning, I contacted the admins and they placed the warning back. However, it has mysteriously disappeared again. Just because you are the leading team does not mean you should be exempt from the rules!

Some interesting side notes:

Major and Minor warnings deduct from prize winnings if acquired during the playoffs.

The Essentials.TF April Monthly for EU remains unfinished after their admin team took back their decision to default the finals (after giving the okay for it prior).

Thaigrr still remains unbanned after not having submitted demos 3 times in a row an entire month ago.

#67 ETF2L Allow potential cheater to play in Playoffs in TF2 General Discussion
PermzillaAndKennethI blame Permzilla.
somehow still feels like my fault

I'd say letting 3 weeaboos take control of the league automatically puts the fault on the former admins

#1 ETF2L Allow potential cheater to play in Playoffs in TF2 General Discussion

I'd like to start by saying that this is not a stance on whether or not I think any mentioned player cheats or not, but rather about the favoritism and inconsistency the admin team showcases.

I will also retract everything in case the admins do decide to back off regarding this decision after the massive amount of critisism provided by people in the scene. (jk lol)

ETF2L Rules Page2.4.1 Penalties for not providing requested demos

Failure to supply a requested demo will result in penalties for both the player and their team. If a player fails to supply their demos multiple times while playing for the same team the team will be given a more severe punishment.

Player penalties.
– First time: No ban.
– Second time: Player is banned for two weeks from all ETF2L competitions.
– Third time: Player is banned for two months from all ETF2L competitions.
– Fourth time or more: Player is banned for one year from all ETF2L competitions.

As of saturday, 17th of March, ETF2L Premiership player Thaigrr (currently playing for the top 2nd seed, team Se7en) has failed to submit requested demos 3 times, meaning that according to the aforementioned rules, he should face a two month ban from all ETF2L competitions. An understandable rule, seeing as demo evidence is the only way to determine the legitimacy of a player by the AC team, and it's not a first offense either. What does this mean for team Se7en heading into the playoffs?

Word on the street says that absolutely nothing! On sunday, 18th of March, Team Se7en receives a minor warning for unsubmitted demo, yet as you can see from this picture, he still remains eligible to play in the league. Now I wouldn't be worried since theres still time for the League Staff to ban him before the playoffs, but after talking about this with quite a few people inside the community, I received some alarming statements from ETF2L Representatives stating that they do not want to ban him because of too many ban posts within a small timeframe and because they want to keep the "competitive edge" of the potential grand finals (allowing a person who dodges every AC check sent his way to play?).

Rules are rules for a reason, and especially in an online game, you can never be too sure of who cheats and who doesn't (could list a big list of previous community figures who ended up being cheaters, banned and some never banned but the list is too big for me to bother with). Why is one team allowed this kind of privilege? The admins cite "ban posts and bans bundled together" as a reason for not giving an individual a single ban, but these are the Playoffs from the highest EU division. Why are the admins not keeping it fair for everyone? The statement also makes no sense since if you go look at the ETF2L ban page, you can find multiple instances of players getting banned singularly, even if the actual announcement is bundled together with other bans.

Another case that makes this even more confusing is that the admins are willing to swap out the 4th placed team Nunya for the 5th placed team Omni5 in the playoffs without the 4th placed teams consent, even though they haven't even broken any rules (apart from running two heavies). Clearly they are ready to apply special cases to some teams, but not to others just because he happens to play on lord Bug's team. Double standards much? Won't go too much into this one though.

Hope you had an enjoyable time reading this and I hope that people care enough about keeping the game cheater-free that you understand why this should not be allowed. Don't do drugs, kids.

#6 ETF2L bans wall bugs in TF2 General Discussion

it's been punishable for at least 10 season now though, since i asked the admins about this back in season 18

usage of bugs (hehe 7) has always been stated to be punishable in the rules anyway and the name of this is literally wallbugging, really makes you think

i also reported you for abusing it in season 25 but unfortunately you didnt get punished because you lost the match anyway
