#11 what league are y'all gonna play in in TF2 General Discussion
dashnerMitch_bleghfarecjetzzzzzunless ESL comes in with a LAN
how and why would ESL have a TF2 LAN
cause according to some unknown myth we have infinite money in our bank accounts.

You're a pathological liar who hyped up something that didn't exist, like you usually do with everything in esports and tf2. People here might be surprised but it's what people behind the scenes have come to expect from you.

As someone who has dealt with this kid for years. Do not trust a word mitch says.

Alex, what are you trying to do here? I really just don’t get it. You’ve been super uninvolved with me and the majority of the TF2 scene for ages and now you come back on a TFTV post and try to call me out on shit you don’t understand or have insight into.

Ever since I came into the TF2 scene and got involved with TFTV you’ve had this massive hate boner for me, more so than anyone else I’ve ever met. Since 2016 you’ve been trying to get me kicked out of anything to do with TFTV, even just recently in April when you tried publicly in the TFTV discord to get me banned, yet, once again you failed, because like I said, you’re the only one in the TF2 scene who has this deep hatred for me.

I just don’t get it. It’s been 3 years and you still chase me around trying to bat me with a floppy newspaper because you don’t like me. You even went as far to tweet @ me accusing me of blackmailing you, which was utterly ridiculous (maybe that’s why you deleted said tweet?). Just leave me alone dude, I understand I’ve done wrong in the past in production, but I’m trying to do better here, hence working with my contacts in ESL to promote TF2, yet you still try to drag me down.

It’s just getting sad at this point, end your solo hate crusade against me for god's sake cause this is child's play.

#5 ESL NA TF2 League Survey in TF2 General Discussion

The poll will be closing in about 24 hours time. After that, we will be collecting the data and making a final decision on if we need to make a league or not.

Please, only say yes if you're willing/intending to play the league. If you're only saying yes cause ESL is a "superior organisation" or that ESL can "provide LANs", please reconsider your option.

You may view the data returned to us here.

#4 ESL NA TF2 League Survey in TF2 General Discussion

I have received 113 responses so far, 10.6% saying no.

We require more responses however for anything to happen, as 16 teams (101 players) are not enough to currently facilitate an ESL League.

#7 ESL EU 6on6 Monthly Challenge April #3 in TF2 General Discussion

I have been informed that the Monthly Final this weekend will likely be the last as there hasn't been enough interest within the community.

Teams who have played in the Monthly Challenge have been invited, please check your emails to find details regarding it.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of support/space for another league in the EU community, ESL will likely be forced to close off the game.

#1 ESL NA TF2 League Survey in TF2 General Discussion

Hello all,

I would like to collect some data to see if people would play an ESL TF2 NA League, details here.

Our league has to be free (free to play + no prize pool) for at least the first season, if we see a decent showing of teams ESL may provide a prize pool. Until then we can only offer a free league with a possibility of ESL medals.

We understand this may frustrate people coming from ESEA where there was prize pools and more, but unfortunately this is all we could provide at the moment.

This does not mean we will run a league and this is purely feedback. We will make another announcement if any league is to be created.

#88 Leagues meet to discuss future of North American TF2 in News

Hello,

I would like to collect some data to see if people would play the ESL TF2 NA League, details here.

I'd like to add a personal comment. There is going to be a major split in the community, no matter which way we go about it. There is a mix of free and paid leagues and unfortunately, it's like an election, it's your choice. Whoever you go with will affect the TF2 community, positive or negative.

#72 Leagues meet to discuss future of North American TF2 in News
JaguarFiendI think we need the leagues that are competing for this spot to present a standardized mission statement/cover letter type document that lays out clearly where they stand on certain issues as well as lets them describe in a brief and direct way their vision for their product and how it would be better or different from some of their competitors.

At the meeting we all agreed to do this. It's compiled in a spreadsheet that is soon to be publicised once leagues confirm it's okay to do so.

FozzlmDiscordCould you specify who you guys have invited to attend, just admins of leagues or also players?
Well by Mitch's own admission, ozfortress aren't invited to the cool kids table for this meeting when ETF2L are :(

Why is this directed at me? The leagues chose not to invite ozfortress cause we didn't think they would be intending to run a league.

#27 New Beginnings in TF2 General Discussion
DiscordMitch_Hi, there is already a global organisation of the current leagues in NA, we're actually having our meeting to discuss these issues tonight.

UGC, RGL, TFCL, ESL, ESEA and ETF2L will be attending and we hope to provide some information to people soon.
Is this being streamed or just in secret? Also is it pretty much orgs attending the meeting, or players as well?

At the moment this meeting will be private, there are many sensitive (unconfirmed) topics we're discussing. But we hope to make a thread announcing the results of the meeting and a poll collecting some data from players.

#6 The LAN Downunder 2019 - Melbourne, Australia in LAN Discussion

CappingTV is pleased to announce that we have secured a fantastic venue for this year’s LAN Downunder. The LAN will be taking place at Genesis Internet Café at 15 Sutherland Street in Melbourne CBD. (Please note, there are two different stores with the same name.) The venue is a 10 minute walk from Flinders Street station, and 3 minutes from Melbourne Central station.

Signups for those wishing to compete are now open, teams of all skill levels are welcome! Signups will be open until the 22nd June. It will cost $60 to attend for the two days, or $2 to spectate. Those playing will have the use of one PC for the duration of the LAN. If you are looking for a team or players to join your team then check the respective channels in The LAN Downunder 2019 Discord.

We are currently working with multiple sponsors to secure the best prize pool possible for the LAN. For this reason, the prize pool is still to be decided. Information regarding sponsorships will be announced when appropriate.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you at the LAN Downunder 2019!

SIGNUPS ARE NOW OPEN HERE!

#9 The LAN Downunder rises to the surface again for 2019 in News

I thought I might post the short trailer that nick made for us:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI39u433tXE

Hopefully next year we can make arrangements for some international teams to come Downunder, but for the time being, we're just happy that Australia now has their LAN back!
