Budget?

Full set of cables is going to be rather expensive, so you can try customer support but I wouldn't bet on it.
Once you removed everything (maybe take the mobo out of the case) it should be easier to get a good grip on the cable (especially the lock) and remove it.

#2734Milani'd recommend going for the corsair h100i liquid cooler but if that's too expensive go for the noctua low profile quiet cpu air cooler, something mid range.1. H100i is outdated and not even that good.
2. Aios are generally shit.
3. In what universe does a low profile cooler on a full ATX board make sense?
MilanAlso for the ram you'd be able to take advantage of the higher clocked 3000mh speeds if you're someone who likes to do a million things while gaming (i personally have corsair vengeance 3200mhz) 16gb.RAM speed is not about multitasking.

Pretty sure the h100i v2 is still getting constant good reviews and one of the more popular choices to buy online.
I just always prefer going for lowprofile parts as long as the performance difference isn't taking too big of a hit.
In regards to ram speeds, they do help out but the impact can be hard to notice however depending on your cpu. He's better off going for 2400mhz with lower latency timings than 3000+ and high timings if money is an issue but there's no reason not to go for the higher speed if you can afford it. Ram speeds are starting to matter again.

#2732 PC Build Thread in Hardware
emoI'm upgrading my PC with an i5 8600k. and was hoping to get some recommendations on other parts that will need to be replaced as well.

My main issue with the following is pricing, not looking for the cheapest option exactly but for what will do best for an okay price.
I currently have a full tower case and I'm looking for a normal ATX form factor mobo and I'm unsure of what to pick. As well as needing new ram preferably 8-16GB of 2400Mhz and preferably dual channel (it seems to have an affect in some of the games I'm looking to play).

Another issue is that one of my current power supply wires is insanely stubborn and does not want to be removed. I wish to use the same PSU [Corsair RM750x] so I'll probably just disconnect the wire from the PSU and keep it attached to my old mobo and will need a new wire. Is it best to get a replacement wire directly from Corsair?

Since the 8600k can overclock to 5-5.2 ghz i'd recommend spending a bit on cooler/mobo's(stay away from hyper evo 212) ideally i'd recommend going for the corsair h100i liquid cooler but if that's too expensive go for the noctua low profile quiet cpu air cooler, something mid range. All the new z370 motherboards are overclockable so just look at the features you like and pick accordingly. Also for the ram you'd be able to take advantage of the higher clocked 3000mh speeds if you're someone who likes to do a million things while gaming (i personally have corsair vengeance 3200mhz) 16gb. Are you also looking to upgrade anything else?

He seems willing to take criticism, the kid will actually listen to what you have to say when it comes to his mistakes plus he doesn't seem to tilt in pugs which is always a plus. Good pickup for a mid open team .

r1ceI’d say USD80 is about as high as ill go, but I’d rather be lower than that.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UVN20UO/ fully modular and 80+ gold 550w going for 80 bucks with 5 year warranty
If you want something cheaper then there's the corsair 550w 80+ bronze simi modular which is selling for 55 bucks but with promo code it's 35 bucks (in store credit i believe)

#3 240hz issues in Hardware

I would have suggested putting the money you spent on that monitor towards building a desktop. I used to play on a laptop connected to a monitor and all it did was cause problems. I don't believe you'll be able to get over 144hz with your current setup.

#3 DrDisrespect went live confess cheating on wife in Off Topic

I never understood why people call adultery a "mistake" like when i think of someone making a mistake it's due to them not knowing /having the right knowledge eg making a mistake in a test/roamer making the wrong play but when a person cheats they're well aware what they are doing is wrong. I get this guy has a very big fan base on twitch however allowing him to get away with his actions by letting it slide as a "mistake" just isn't fair to his wife.

ArguedOysterbruhs, speaking from personal experience, some women are crazy. You're in a relationship for a few months, and you wanna take it to the next level, so you ask her to have sex. "What do I look like, some kinda whore? This needs to be a SPECIAL event." So the next week, you try and do just that; you take her to someplace nice and try it make it a nice night out. You gift her some fancy lingerie. They turn around and say, "What do I look like, some kinda whore? You think you can buy me?"

true story

Seems like you two shouldn't be together.

WackyfireballReasonably well in that it doesn't go below 30 fps like it does now, and I would like to be able to run at least tf2 with at least 144 fps constant.

Since I am new at building computers, I picked out parts that weren't too expensive and seemed easy enough for me to install. I've mostly had problems with cooling my computer.

You still didn't answer whether it's a used build you're trying to make or are you looking to order new parts? Also what is your budget? Both of the titles you listed rely heavily on the cpu however gta needs a good graphics card too if you'd like to play on high settings however you should have no issues building a computer that can run both games well for around a 1150 bucks as that seems to be the price of your current build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kKF3KZ Here are the parts i'd suggest going for, decreased spending on the psu/motherboard and added it for better ram/gpu and changed cpu's from intel to ryzen (not the best for tf2 due to its lower clock speeds compared to intel however overclocking it a bit + the ram should give you 144 fps constant)
