I'm gonna screw your results because all the food I eat at home is from my garden, but I also tend to eat out for lunch constantly (ty subway) lol.

I would actually be in favor of the Roamer offclassing on *most* maps for last pushes because:
The roamer often contributes very little, beyond spam, to a last push unless they're baiting their team and doing nothing for a long period of time, unless manna falls from heaven and they actually managed to pick a door that was left open/doesn't get attacked. Especially now that most teams don't utilize double solly ubers as often.
Meanwhile, if you've got one of your scouts stuck on sniper your ability to "play the point" is limited because you likely only have 1 x2 capper on the team so you're far less likely to risk putting a scout on the point early and force the opposing team to fight you at the point (it's rare enough that a demo goes paintrain now, and even more rare that the demo would be the one to try to bait the point). Meanwhile a roamer stuck on sniper contributes about as much as they would otherwise - especially if they get a kill during the confusion.
I can see the argument that losing the splash damage makes holding intermediary lobby areas harder - but that would be something you'd want to test out in advance to see if it is possible to maintain a lobby hold down a solly some teams are far more passive on last holds than others - thus it wouldn't be as bad - Gullywash would be one of the more challenging ones for example because of the distance from riverside's sniper positions to lobby sniper positions would force some explosive class to have to solo hold lobby.
Standard military shovels have looked that way for over 100 years.
You can even buy entrenching style shovels on amazon for ~50$ you can even buy them with serrated edges if you feel like using it as a cutting tool.
But in general, you don't need the shovel to be sharp enough to actually cut anything, the blunt force of being wacked by a shovel would prolly be enough to get your message across. Not to mention that the cutting power of one's ultra-sharp shovel would be destroyed by using it for its intended purpose, i.e. digging in dirt.
I mostly play old games, but my old computer (7 years on - I named it Doris) is starting to really show its age. So it's time for an upgrade.
HOWEVER. Are there any major limitations I should look out for if I intend to hold it to windows 7 - like I said, I mostly play old games, and windows 10 can be kind of finicky with some of them. So I'll likely try to have win 10 for the new stuff, and a win 7 drive for the old stuff. Are there any major hardware limitations inherent to win 7 that I should look out for as I build that could cause that drive to be non-funcitonal within the build? Or is win7 still newish enough that companies haven't made their drivers ignore its existence?
I'm still running my original death adder software from 2010 works great because, back then, you could fire it up once, never run again and have your mouse settings kept in perpetuity lol. Why do companies actively make their products worse? Is mouse driver piracy a thing?
The Cranes are Flying https://youtu.be/v0yO6Q9NQyg is pretty sad
Once Upon a Time in America, although super long, I found to be quite a saddening film as long as you watch the full version (it's like 4 hours long).
Yikes misread OP.
Whatever you do, buy the stupid in-store warranty on headsets - because you can continually replace + renew forever lol. - and lets face it headsets don't live very long typically (I've never had one make it 5 years).
The first thing I'd look at is to clean the whole case and the heatsink as best as you can. Things get clogged.
Once that's done, if you're still getting hot, I'd think about how many case fans you have - if you've only got say, 2-3, you could maybe improve airflow by adding a 3-4$ fan and call it a day so long as it doesn't totally screw up your air flow and you have space for it.
If you're STILL overheating, then I'd go for the thermal paste sometimes people put WAAAAAAAY too much on there, especially if it's a prebuilt computer or whoever put it together didn't really know what they were doing. I've never forget crespi's macbook post where his CPU was literally a giant mass of paste lol.
81 C isn't THAT high for an intel, so my guess would be it's just a dirty heatsink.
I would say most of the things posted above are *great* unless you're doing something other than beer - but those usually aren't called breweries.
You're doing the right thing by trying to read up at least a little bit before you dive in - but I wouldn't worry about sounding like an idiot too much, if they know you're a student, they'll likely assume you're barely able to write your own name, and whatever you do, if you don't know what they're talking about, ask.
Yup second for thrift store, relatives' card tables, and/or used furniture store.
The upshot to all these options is you'll also get to measure the desk (bring a tape measure) and make sure it's the right height and size for what you want - desk height I've found is something that can really fuck with your arms and shoulders if your chosen chair can't reach high enough or can't go low enough depending on desk height. If you also have a chair with arms on it, and you like to rest your arms on the arms of the chair, make sure the arms are roughly as high as the desk/table is or that they can be made as such or you'll be without them.
There was a time when 5s was really being pushed - around s5-6 or so if I remember correctly (in ESEA) as I recall Orzo was a big proponent of giving it a try, but mostly nobody really cared for it much and the idea was left to die.
I've always hated MGE, but since you enjoy it, there's no reason to stop playing. But I will side with Cheesy, there's no reason to really analyze what's happening in MGE - especially if you're not surfing damage and you're playing the soldier class, because learning when to surf and when not to surf (those situations do exist) is a super important skill, especially if you intend to take ubers some day.
"Bad" peripherals or a bad computer can cause night/day effects. If your FPS is super poor, or it stutters a lot, or your internet is unstable - all of these things will handicap your performance and there isn't much you can do about it as far as practicing goes. If you're using an inconsistent mouse or a keyboard that won't let you press more than 3 keys at once, that could also handicap you.
The only advice I can give you, is if you're not enjoying MGE, do something else. Even pubbing can teach you to aim or at least get comfortable with your sensitivity/set up and expose you to a lot of lop-sided situations. I'd also argue that if you're still stuck in silver and have spent thousands of hours in MGE, it's because there is some problem other than aim at play - either you don't know whats going on, can't play on a team well, or you have some set up problem, or simply haven't played your chosen format enough to really understand whats going on, or perhaps you aim too low when you ask for tryouts/trials. Getting on decent teams is all about who you know.
I remember clearly when I was a team leader, that even if a person claimed to be really good, if nobody I knew, knew them, I was far less likely to even give them a tryout, because putting people you don't know on your team is a big risk. So, it could also be that nobody really knows who you are, and pugging or even lobbying/centering is a good way to meet new and better people - especially now that pub communities just don't exist like they used to give you a huge array of people that know you already.
This is my son and MGE story that I love most.
One day I walk past him, notice him playing Badlands mid MGE. I ask "how is it going" because his face is beat red and he's SUPER mad. He says "Dad, this guy JUST HIDES BEHIND THE BOXES until I shoot all my bombs, and then he comes out and kills me! STUPID!" and then he logged off lol. I replied simply "welcome to MGE son"
This was a pug of some sort or I was ringing. The logs seem to be screwed up - but at least I was playing medic.

This though this is a log: Dheroes.
I started my kiddo at 4 - I set him up on a 24/7 goldrush server, spawned him in as heavy. The gates opened, and he got random kritz and mowed down 3 people before being headshot, and he just sat there trembling with elation and has been hooked ever since.
I did modify his game to not show chat and no voice comms either from or to him. He also discovered MGE about 4 years ago. Now that he's older, he plays TF2 less, but he still plays prolly 2-3 times a week. He also went through a mario kart balloon-race phase. There are so many different ways to play tf2 and enjoy it it's not a bad game to get into honestly.
