#18 If Scout was limited to 1 in 6s? in TF2 General Discussion

If scout would be limited to 1 in 6s, I think everyone would run sniper instead. We've seen a lot of snipers to mid or running sniper in last pushes/defenses, and they seem to be working out pretty fine (running a sniper in 6s is still situational)
Since running spy/heavy/engie just isn't effective, running pyro is another option, but pyros aren't effective when the opponents are at long ranges (except for flare guns).
Running a full time sniper would be quite hard to deal with in 6s, but if I had to pick one, it would pick sniper.

I'm definitely not saying that the 6v6 format right now is wrong or non-effective. It was just an "IF"

#87 FROYO win i55 in News
EvrewsWhat I'd love to see is Froyotech going for a 3peat while a reformed Mixup (i46 or i52), i49 Epislon, iM, Ascent, and a top team from Asia try to contest them

We asians would probably get crushed immediately, lol.
But yeah, that's what I'd love to see also

SideshowI actually think after this LAN that not only can banny play all three of those classes at the top level but his pocket is better than his demo and scout.

Yeah, b4nny was best at pocket. I agree 100%.

#64 FROYO win i55 in News

Talking about b4nny, the community always knew that b4nny was considered one of the best player in tf2, but I think i55 just confirmed that b4nny is capable of playing any classes at the top level. B4nny's ability of playing demo (pipe jesus) during i49 (HRG) amazed me, as well as his ability to play pocket scout with great DM during i52 (Froyotech being the champions of i52).
During esea s19, Froyotech had to pick up a new pocket to go to i55 due to Lansky having real life things to deal with, picking up ash (former 20b soldier). However, since a pocket soldier is an extremely pressuring roll and the player has to maincall a lot, b4nny switched to pocket soldier, putting ash as the pocket scout for Froyotech. Personally having a pessimistic view, I felt negative to this change, but the change was actually smoother than I've ever imagined. B4nny had top DPM (also had many frags) in almost all of the matches, confirming that b4nny was definitely the best pocket in i55.
Of course it wasnt only b4nny that performed insanely well at i55,
Clockwork was absolutely a fragging machine for Froyotech, almost always having the top frags,
Shade survived almost all of the time (great job reading mids and surviving),
Ash had a transition from soldier to pocket scout smoothly,
Duwatna survived most of the time, protecing him and his medic shade with great pipe aim,
Blaze played smarly along withy his great DM, flanking the other team, making great plays,
All contributing to the victory of Froyotech, the first defending grand champions of i55. Froyotech is arguably the best team in the world now winning two i-series convincingly.

Sincere congratulations to Froyotech.

Also, shoutout to the production crew that helped i55 happen. We hope to see another great i-series.

#66 Vote for the marketplace.tf MVP of i55! in News

I get how Zebbosai played out of his mind, dropping shade a few times in the Upper Bracket finals. He had some insane plays, but if we see the overall LAN, players like b4nny or clockwork were more consistent, putting out top DPM or frags.
This definitely doesn't mean Zebbosai's performane was poor, he was just not that consistent or amazing throughout the whole lan.

Ond_kajaDrPloxoPlaying people with 200 ping and thinking you're good lmao.
Classic euros.

PJSalt KappaPride

Well it was true that NA people had to play with 100~200+ ping, while the Ukraine players generally had less than 100. Not going to say anything about who's better, just pointing out facts

Congratulations to Froyotech!
cp_sunshine_rc8, Froyotech lost by 2:3
koth_product_rc8, Froyotech won by 3:1
cp_snakewater_final1, Froyotech won by 5:0
cp_process_final, Froyotech won by 5:0

Froyotech was so dominant on the last 3 maps, nerdRage only taking 1 point out of Froyotech. Even so, this was such an intense match.

Again, congratulations to Froyotech, the defending world champions!

#16 i55 Day Two Summary in News
DavidTheWinlanskyfroyo didn't get this strong without learning from their mistakes. plenty of teams have put up very strong performances against the team throughout their time, but no other team has been able to adapt and bounce back as strongly as they have. getting rolled by mix in the online zowie tournament back in s16, losing group stage matches at i52, and being knocked into lower bracket in the esea playoffs. every single time it's happened, they own up to their mistakes, decide what needs to be done, and make no excuses.

looking forward to seeing froyo surprise everyone with how quickly they can adapt and learn from their missteps today. and i'm amazed at how well b4nny has been playing on pocket -- he's absolutely on another level and everyone can learn a ton from watching him.

Can confirm, spent a while with froyotech last night and all the talk was centered on that game and how they were going to smash it today

I just can't wait for today's match. GO FROYO!

I am cheering for Froyotech, I hope they come back strong and win i55!
Anyways, Lansky are you coming back to tf2 anytime soon?

EDIT: I know you get this question like 20 times a day, but you being my favorite pocket of all time, I'm a bit curious.

#11 i55 Day Two Summary in News

Nerd rage played INSANELY well against Froyotech, it amazes me. (Especially Zebbosai, dropping shade a few times)
I am a Froyotech-fan and my heart is definitely cheering for Froyotech, but nerdRage is playing so well, I can't really predict the outcome. Maybe Reason will step up against Froyotech and actually have an EU vs EU grand finals, but this seems almost impossible, unless Reason plays out of their mind.
Being a Froyo-fan saying this, I think nerdRage will be the i55 winners this time, especially with nerdRage having much more time to strategize and rest. If nerdRage plays just like they did in the upper brackets against Froyotech, I don't see nerdRage losing i55.
Just my thoughts before the grand finals, I can be completely wrong.

EDIT: Froyotech won the grand finals against nerdRage in such a dominant way! I was actually wrong and congratulations to Froyotech for winning i55, the defending world champions!

#5 fps drops after update in TF2 General Discussion

Yes, there is a fps drop after the update.
One thing I've noticed is that if the opponent/teammate has a skin, my fps drops and jitters a little bit.
Maybe it's only me, but I hope it gets fixed.
