Talking about b4nny, the community always knew that b4nny was considered one of the best player in tf2, but I think i55 just confirmed that b4nny is capable of playing any classes at the top level. B4nny's ability of playing demo (pipe jesus) during i49 (HRG) amazed me, as well as his ability to play pocket scout with great DM during i52 (Froyotech being the champions of i52).
During esea s19, Froyotech had to pick up a new pocket to go to i55 due to Lansky having real life things to deal with, picking up ash (former 20b soldier). However, since a pocket soldier is an extremely pressuring roll and the player has to maincall a lot, b4nny switched to pocket soldier, putting ash as the pocket scout for Froyotech. Personally having a pessimistic view, I felt negative to this change, but the change was actually smoother than I've ever imagined. B4nny had top DPM (also had many frags) in almost all of the matches, confirming that b4nny was definitely the best pocket in i55.
Of course it wasnt only b4nny that performed insanely well at i55,
Clockwork was absolutely a fragging machine for Froyotech, almost always having the top frags,
Shade survived almost all of the time (great job reading mids and surviving),
Ash had a transition from soldier to pocket scout smoothly,
Duwatna survived most of the time, protecing him and his medic shade with great pipe aim,
Blaze played smarly along withy his great DM, flanking the other team, making great plays,
All contributing to the victory of Froyotech, the first defending grand champions of i55. Froyotech is arguably the best team in the world now winning two i-series convincingly.
Sincere congratulations to Froyotech.
Also, shoutout to the production crew that helped i55 happen. We hope to see another great i-series.
