I agree with Nuze, TF2 may have been shrinking in the last few years, however the esports scene is definitely growing, with that TF2 may not be keeping with other games like CS, but I think starting from around this season, you're going to see alot more orgs coming in and supporting teams in the following seasons (S27, s28, s29, etc) because growth is exponential.

I support this :]
We know it’s been a while since the world has seen a NA TF2 team attend an international LAN, but the wait may be over.
Together with b4nny of Froyotech and b3arodactyl of Velocity Esports, we have been thinking about creating a North American Super Team to go to Sweeden LAN. Yes, you heard me right, a NA Super team, filled with high invite players (and maybe a possible EU player) to take the stage in Sweden at the Esport United Community Rumble.
However, with the late announcement, travel expenses are high, making money a problem for some players. If this roster gets off the ground, Faint will be helping players with fees, however it is likely that a community fundraiser may be needed. As commonly requested in fundraisers, if there is to be a community fundraiser, a expense breakdown will be provided to make everything as transparent as possible within the community.
Roster as of now:
- b4nny https://www.twitch.tv/b4nny
- b3arodactyl https://www.twitch.tv/b3arodactyl
- Sandblast (?) https://www.twitch.tv/sandblast__
- ?
- ?
- ?
As you can see, there are empty slots we would need to fill in order to make this even remotely feasible. If you would be interested in participating, please contact B4nny.
*Disclaimer* This is not a concrete plan, actually, it’s more of an idea then a plan, however we are looking to make this project happen.

Dyl4NStarry_Nebulaejust a quick question, how many orgs have accepted teams so far? if not many have yet let people know these orgs are still up for grabsI have contacted every sponsor Jarlow has mentioned, to no response from any. I don't think they've made contact with anyone at this point.
If this is he case, sorry D:

Added :]
Tery_Jarlow2. A disinterest of invite players in playing under a 3rd party org.
This seems really fucking stupid to me but whatever.
With the reduction of fees, teams are starting to pay the fees themselves instead of relying on orgs. In some cases, it does make sense for the players to play individually
Tri has stated that registration will not be extended, so this should be a catalyst for all the teams depending on the extension to finish rosters. LFT players should be getting in contact with each other and start looking to making a team while Newbie Mixes tonight should have an announcement and PSA about ESEA Open.
With Tri teasing a return of IM and a possible MDL LAN, there's quite alot on the line.
KonceptAnybody know if this is just for TF2 or if other games supported by ESEA are also getting their prize pools and entry fees reduced?
From our perspective in CSGO main, fees haven't been reduced, and I believe open fees are still the same so I think only TF2 was changed. (Csgo and TF2 being the only 2 games supported on ESEA)
Both the decrease in prize pool and the decrease in entry fees have led to 1. A lower interest from third party orgs 2. A disinterest of invite players in playing under a 3rd party org.
Yes this will probably be good for the longevity for the league, but IMO it decreases the presence of TF2 within the ESEA community and the competitive esports scene. Sorry for being pessimistic :(
