I feel I am going through the same thing as you are. I lost my brother about a month ago unexpectedly and it really just ripped all 'feeling' out of me. Sometimes I can't even tell if I am happy or sad, which ends up not even mattering because the sadness usually gets the best of it. I've also lost quite a bit of weight and find myself sleeping 10-11 hours normally now, and feel like I could use a few more hours, even when I go to bed at a normal time.

What I have found that helps the most is family and friends. I have no desire to go to a psychologist, or what not, and have some random person act like he knows me and what I feel. I would rather confide in my close family and friends (as I have), and if need be, go to a doctor if I felt that I needed to be put on some sort of medicine (which I am not).

I spent a few days held up in my room trying to play games with long-time online friends and to be quite honest, it did not have the depth nor feeling that one-on-one human interaction has for me, BUT it may be just fine for you. I could feel myself become more saddened with each passing day of staying in my room, and so for the past two weeks I have been out with friends and family, even if it's just playing Scrabble or card-games with family, it makes you feel more whole as a person, being around those that you know you belong with.

Once again, I do not know what your circumstances are and one solution does not fit all. But what I do know is that even after my brother's passing, being around my Mom and Dad, even if it's just those two, shows me that we are not a broken family because of my brother not being there, it has just showed me that it has made us each THAT much more reliant upon each other and that my brother's memories will always live on with us.

Now that I am crying, I will end this here. And if anyone here needs anyone to talk with, I have always listened to people in the past, and I will open myself to this community as well.

I know in L4D they have a 'wait' command that will automatically execute whatever follows it after the set amount of time. I don't know if that's a thing in TF2.

It's not so much about what fps you're looking for, it's about recreating the problem in a controlled environment, and once you are able to recreate the problem, you are able to begin ruling out the possibilities.

-On the 3D Test drop-down box, select the 'GPU memory burner::3072MB', it's the highest test available even though your GPU has 4GB of memory, should be fine though. Then select the Preset drop-down box and select your screen resolution from that, if it's not available, then select 'Custom' and enter your resolution in the boxes below. Also make sure you have 'Artifact Scanner' checked below that. Select 'Settings' over on the right and set the duration to 120 or 180 and then close that window. Hit 'Benchmark' and let that run for 2 or 3 minutes and see if your screen goes black or something weird happens.

-Next, drop down the 3D test box again and select 'Furry E GPU Core Burner', this will stress your GPU hardcore. Make sure your resolution and preset are still correct and what not, hit the 'Benchmark' button and let that test run for another 2-3 minutes. Make sure you keep an eye on your GPU temp readings on the bottom of the screen while they're running.

And yea, I have never personally had someone receive a bad graphics card, so it's a rare thing in my experience, but I am sure that it happens.

Check your memory seatings.
Run memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/), you will need a CD or USB stick for this.
Run EVGA OC Scanner (http://www.evga.com/ocscanner/)

If the sound keeps running and you just lose the image, most likely your gpu or memory.

Just knowing that iT was in it pretty much just made it all just another pug for my team. I definitely feel like FnF would lose a lot of steam, and fast, because teams wouldn't feel like it was worth their time because of the huge skill gap.

I'm just looking for people with experience with OBS and playing games on Windows 8. I will be switching computers at some point to my brother's computer he just built before passing, and it has Windows 8 on it and is running a Haswell cpu and a gtx780 gpu. I am just looking for people that might have an idea of how well OBS works with the Haswell architecture and Windows 8 (I don't anticipate any problems coming from the gpu but thought I should just add what gpu it has). My old gpu (gtx 570) will be going to Shade so he can stop dropping frames while streaming.

I know that Windows 8 has some problems with game crashes and what not, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm walking into a mine-field with Win8 AND Haswell or if it won't be that bad.

Not true. As the son of an ex-IBM Senior Instructor, I know far beyond the shadow of a doubt that IBM is laying off THOUSANDS of people because of Obamacare. They told my father that they would be laying him and the other Instructors off and bringing them back as 'contractors' so that IBM would not have to pay the health-insurance penalty that is introduced by Obamacare. Not only IBM, but a lot of other Fortune 500 companies have been laying off people as well strictly due to the penalty that the companies have to pay for each person that works for them that is not on Obamacare.

Other family-members that were told the same thing from IBM = an aunt and two uncles and they are now contracted-employees for IBM (exception of my father who left)

And that $95 fee you are talking about is the penalty to the people that are not taking part in Obamacare, that is NOT the penalty that companies have to pay for having a full-time employee who is not on Obamacare. One last thing, that $95 is for the first year, then it goes to $325 in 2015 and then by 2016 it's going up to a $695 penalty. Have fun with that. I can only expect that the penalties for the companies with full-time employees will follow that trend of increasing with time.

Thank you all for your praise and comforting words and stories, it means more than you'll ever know. Thank you. I am a bit more collected today thanks to a few glasses of Bailey's. He will be missed by many, family from all over the country are flying here for the mass on Saturday, friends that I haven't talked to in years upon years called today, crying harder than I ever expected humans can cry. He was a wonderful person. He was my brother.

And as far as money goes, we are fine, but thank you for the offer. The company my brother worked for called and his boss was hysterical and he said that Joe was the smartest IT person he'd ever met, he also said the Corporate Attorney offered his services if we were in need of any legal help/hospital bills.

All I ask for is that you pray for him. I loved him more than myself.

He was complaining if legs cramps in his calf, my mom took him to the doctor and they said it could be an infection or a clot, and to go to the hospital. My mom took him there and he collapsed the moment he went in he doors. A police officer came and told my mom she needed to come inside. He died an hour later. I called my dad and he made it from massachusettes to PA in 3 hours, normally takes 6.

Jjust pray for my brother if youd mind. He was my best friend and was soon to be a husband. I loved him.
