I have to be up for school around 5:30am each morning, and I always end my showers with 30 seconds of just the cold water running. If I don't do it, it takes me the first few hours of my day to really wake up. 30 seconds of mild pain is absolutely worth 2-4 hours of really productive morning time.
Been doing this for a couple years, and I feel like I've really turned around from being a lazy bum to a fairly productive, good student. Obviously, there were a lot of other life changes/ big decisions that happened over that time, but I feel this is definitely a contributing factor.

It brings people from the scary waters of "i want to maybe try this thing" onto the boat of "hell yeah this rocks" better than anything else in our community.
