they are very different but in terms of uses basically java is used for standalone applications and javascript is used for web applications (websites, browser extensions, etc).

The man suddenly had almost everyone in the tf2 community suspecting him of cheating even though he never has in his life. That must be extremely stressful. He handled himself really well throughout the vac ban so allow him a few triumphant posts now that it's been reversed jeez.
Let's take this as a reminder these automated systems are not infallible and mistakes can and do happen and behind every alias is a real person. All the time on these and other forums I see people get so caught up with the witch-hunt they forget that. Insulting or bullying them and the likes isn't likely to help the case.

Afaik HLAE is not a plugin, it's a straight dll injected into the client (much like a lot of cheats are). So it can probably happen.

There's plenty of stuff that's not exactly a cheat and still triggers VAC. If it injects something into the client it's always risky.
For example HLAE uses this method and is considered a cheat by VAC, but as long as you launch game in insecure mode and dont join any vac servers you're good to go.

You can change the killfeed display as it would for a pov demo and you can also change nicknames through statusspec to keep the movie tight with consistent aliases. Pretty useful and have used it in the past for the i55 teaser etc...

I know most bids are fake, there were still some pretty high value ones from High reputation accounts (that's gotta be worth for something) and I wouldn't put it past some eccentric millionaire like Shkreli or Notch to buy it for a few hundred thousand or millions to take a stance, specially if they are fans of the channel.

That aside, I think what EU is missing is a pickup system with captains. NA already has pug.me and pug champ.
captain system is not as perfect as everyone makes it to be and can definitely be transformed into a huge circlejerk. a smart enough algorithm will always be more fair and balanced. The problem is that there is no perfect balancing algorithm yet, but tf2pickup balancing has steadily improved over the time from my experience.

What? Surely scout is the most forgiving class in that aspect. Good DM will carry a scout further than it would on a demo or soldier. Demo being the least forgiving.
Yeah in hindsight you're right about demo, but I mean, I've seen so many dm heavy scouts get schooled in real matches because they just seem to switch off their brain and rely on their dm, guess that can go for any class tho.
Practise is key as others have mentioned. But if you already mentioned he plays mge and dm everyday and doesn't seem to be improving, maybe it's time to take a step back and try to understand the concepts of the metagame and the class a bit more? Scouts is probably the most unforgiving class as in you can be a beast in dm and mge and still fall short in a real game if you don't get the grasp of it.
And since we're at it, Im gonna do a little plug here since I just finished compiling a huge list of scout guides / demo reviews / povs / analysis on our comp.tf scout page. Maybe some of these could come in handy for him.
