#74 Highlander article missing in Site Discussion
jacksterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrra gamemode where b4nny hasnt won every event in recent history should at least get posting privileges from people who put time into articles (brooky12 etc)

Nice precedence, that's literally everything that isn't ESEA 6v6 if we go by "b4nny didn't win it"

#43 GUIDE: Weapon-specific Custom Crosshairs in Customization
tnmOn a side note, can you make for example GL use crosshair7? I know it can be done using binds

This method only changes the default (cl_crosshair_file "") crosshair. So you'd either need crosshair7 in vtf form to do this with, or you could just have a script do that.

default_crosshair.cfg:
cl_crosshair_file ""

demoman.cfg:
bind 1 "slot1; cl_crosshair_file crosshair7"
bind 2 "slot2; exec default_crosshair"
bind 3 "slot3; exec default_crosshair"

reset.cfg:
bind 1 slot1
bind 2 slot2
bind 3 slot3

It's definitely sizing issue.

Since you have two width-wise and two height-wise, you have your width and height doubled. Just halve both of them.

Odd they'd pick up an open team in which nobody has been on a team before.

I'm assuming it's just a team that took the logo? Nothing on froyo website either.

mousiopehaving options never really hurt anyone

Except for the part where offering both splits the already small community causing both modes to end up with shitty queue times.

This thread is not the official thread anymore, his is stickied.

Also, Comanglia has everything and tidy and neat and organized. If you had opened your autoexec, you'd see this in it:

#50 Competitive Matchmaking Details Revealed in News
mdvi really think they wont implement 9v9 cause it requires bigger slot servers, which is more money out of their pockets. pretty much this was the reason behind csgo not getting 128 tick servers.

The main reason if any to not have HL is because requiring not only 18 people, but 2 of each class will make queue times astronomical while you wait on the lesser played classes to queue up. Imagine WoW queues with a much smaller playerbase.

I believe the reason for not providing 128 tick servers in CSGO was because according to their data, the large majority of their user base doesn't get enough FPS to even benefit from 128 tick servers. So the extra cost would quite literally be wasted.

#355 Comanglia's Config / FPS Guide in Customization

So, I upgraded from 1.7a to 1.8beta and saw a noticeable increase in FPS.

Using pazer's benchmark2 I was getting around 130 fps (dxlevel 98, but 91 95 and 98 don't seem to vary fps at all). After changing, benchmarks averaged 153 fps. I changed these settings:

mat_picmip -1
r_lod -1
r_rootlod 0 (I thought this used to go to -1? Capped at 0 now without sv_cheats)

And saw further increase to 160 fps averaged. May test more commands later, but 20% increase is pretty good.
