BumFreezei dont think if its good on one map and not good on others that makes it too powerful

On the other hand, just being weak on some maps doesn't mean a weapon isn't overpowered. That's true of some banned items as well. That's no real reason to dismiss an issue.

Honestly, it's still more than easy enough to flare combo. While there was no need to nerf what was the weakest class, the difference is small and just needs a little bit of adjusting. In more enclosed spaces pyros will now have to predict and aim rather than just relying on airblast arc for easy hits.

People just need to give it a little time to see how things end up.

Apparently degreaser is bugged and doesn't benefit at all from the increased "switch away" speed, so changing to your secondary is like you're using stock.

Pyro mains (should) probably stop whining once that gets fixed.

I actually just opted in then opted out and it still helped.

FPS still isn't what it used to be, but it's better than just after the update by a large margin.

That said, thanks for the other responses, I'll be trying to get them to work within the framework of the cfg files I currently have.

Not gonna look up how TF2Mate names its shit because I'm lazy and it's dumb, but here's what you want:

It's split into three states, you can add change settings by changing the aliases such as state_one_slot1 where you see the settings. It starts in state one and hitting the cycle key will advance 2->3->1.

I'm not 100% sure if the key name is END either, easy to change though.

Did you switch to dx9? I still can't use dx9 on this update. I just keep it on 8 and the performance is fine. Staying above 200.

I was on DX9 pre-update. Got better frames with DX9 and picmip -1 than DX8.

I'll probably change back to DX8, but others in the thread that run DX8 seem to be effected as well??

mousiopethe ppl with shitty fps have tried to put their graphics with high settings ?

Messed around with the menu options after a safelaunch with no autoexec and did not see any FPS change from any option (Did not test multicore rendering though).

Went from constant 300+ to barely under 100 fps... this is brutal. Going to try defaulting my game and seeing if stock settings are "better" now.

deetrI wonder if the jarate/mad milk cooldown reduction stacks. Would be pretty insane to instantly get it back for extinguishing 5 teammates.

It's moreso a phlog nerf tbh. The damage while taunting was negligible because of the reduction already. It was already best to get in position and hold damage till after the taunt anyway.

However, being knockbacked immediately gave you the kritz from your phlog taunt without waiting, so if you got airblasted or something, you immediately krit that pyro's face. Not being able to do that (and do that "tactically") is probably more of a nerf than a buff.

Here is a link to my vaccinator script which separates resistances onto separate keys (need to hit multiple times) that is usable in a competitive setting. Enjoy medic mains.

fightfor reference you can't separate more than 2 things with a semicolon in general, so you'd want to make an alias with two commands, then bind the key to the other command you need and the alias

You can definitely separate more than 2 things... you just keep adding semicolons. The only issue OP had was with the nested quotes.
