#45 Question for people who quit TF2 in Off Topic

Has your life improved since you quit?
Yes, I have way more fun in OW with working matchmaking that mirrors the competitive scene.

Do I ever feel the urge to come back?
No, I left of a pretty sour note but I'm still fine with the fact ive played the game for 5 years since I was 12.

Did you have some other, non-videogame hobby to spend your time on, or did you exit into the world with no clear plans for what to do next?
Nope, more vid games for me.

What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?
Game isnt nearly as fun as it was before for me, and the recent updates do not bode well and I have lots of frustration directed towards valve because if they decided to support the game 2/3 years ago it would be great.

And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?
To see if anything good happens for the game, whether that be a good update or a nice tournament.

#9 Huge lag spikes when playing matchmaking in Q/A Help

UPDATE: I tried running the game on '-default' and it worked fine without issues. Any idea of what custom settings can cause this? I've tried removing graphics configs, interp and refreshrate settings and its still giving me these hgue spikes..

#6 Huge lag spikes when playing matchmaking in Q/A Help
XtheDuckIs this in matchmaking only or in all competitive mode servers? If its the ladder the case, I used to have this issue as well, and the only thing that did it was completley deleting the game and reinstalling it

It's just matchmaking servers, comp or casual. I can still use serveme.tf servers and community servers. And i've already re-installed the game

BBiA_duchessIf you are using wifi, try using one of those ethernet things that plug into the wall socket. That solved all my connection problems

I already do use ethernet cable

#1 Huge lag spikes when playing matchmaking in Q/A Help

Whenever I try to play on Valve MM servers I get huge lag spikes, that show on net_graph 3.
example:

I've tried googling the problem but no one else seems to have it.
My internet is good and this problem doesnt happen on any other game or any other tf2 servers and my pc is good enough to get me 120 fps on any server so that isnt the problem either.
Any help?

#228 b4nny v thalash in TF2 General Discussion
smzireminds me of arteezy, truly skilled in his game, big stream, couple impressive lan wins, gives a fuck about personality as long as you win , will never ever take criticism and has some kind of "god complex" over a video game, strange taste in music... well nevermind arteezy actually makes a living by streaming and playing his favourite game and doesnt live on government aid (assumption)

rtz isnt nearly as bad as b4nny...

#7 Geming? in Off Topic

buying gems (in game currency, bought through micro-transaction) and using them to propel yourself forward in the game's very slow progression system
