#3 Good earplugs/IEM for gaming in Hardware
funhaver1998love my etymotic 4xrs even tho the filters need replacing snd stuff and its annoying to get in EU 100 percent worth it

ER4XR?

upd: yeah, idk If I can be bothered with all that filter changing bullshit, especially when finding those replacement filters is most likely going to be even harder than buying the buds itself in Russia. Is it even important to change them?

#1 Good earplugs/IEM for gaming in Hardware

Been using earbuds for almost a year now (random earplugs for 1$ at first, Roccat Aluma now) and I don't feel like I want to go back to full-sized headphones for a number of reasons (ruins my hair, feels awful to use during summer, uncomfortable to use for anything other than gaming really). That being said, I noticed that even with Roccat Aluma, I sometimes struggle in games where sound and sound positioning is important (PUBG for example). I understand that there might not be any earplugs that can compete with full-sized headphones in terms of positioning and sound quality but I still want to know if I can get anything better than Roccat Aluma.

I also read about IEM's just now and I'm wondering if it would be better to get something like that instead of earbuds.

Edit: decent mic is also somewhat important. One of the reasons why I like Aluma is the mic. I even used it on LAN and had 0 problems with comms. One of the options that caught my attention was Tt eSPORTS Isurus Pro since it has detacheble mic. But idk if it's worth switching to that from what I have.

SetsulWell the 96% seem fine then.
Does it run cooler on actual benchmarks like Unigine Heaven/Valley or whatever?
If the noise isn't bothering you you can leave it as is. If you've got thermal paste lying around you could repaste it but it doesn't seem necessary.

Don't care about the noise.
Can't repaste yet because the seller guy gave me 2 weeks to test it out and asked me not to touch all the warranty stuff.

Also, how can it not handle target temparature if it's literally limited to 83 by MSI Afterburner. I'm pretty sure it drops clocks when it gets up to 82 & close to 83 just to keep it at that level.

SetsulWhat custom fan profile did you set? 82°C is the default temperature target iirc so the fan is probably spinning up to keep it there.
Furmark isn't exactly a normal load and a GPU with the same cooler but 50% higher TDP will run hotter. If it can handle the absolute worst case like Furmark while (barely) keeping the target temperature it should be absolutely fine under normal load.
It's a used GPU but less than 2 years old so don't expect any miracles from repasting. You're not going get 70°C with that cooler while burning 300W.

Temp limit is at 83 in MSI Afterburner
It gets to 82 without custom profile as well, just faster.

I just traded my Palit 1060 Dual and a bit of money for a used Palit 1070 Ti Dual.
Furmark temps with 1060 were under 70 (that is without any custom fan profiles). 1070 Ti however, gets to 82 in just 3 minutes and stays there (with a custom profile and 96% fan speed).

Shold I be worried?

Moscow LAN AMA ITT

HiipFireany chance of the stvs getting uploaded?

LAN organizers/admins are currently trying to find as many STV-demos as possible. I'll try to keep you updated on this one.

Alfieshame this is around i63 time, I would have loved to come and visit Moscowmartenсайт очень красивый! жаль я не могу ехать :/
может быть следующий год?

I might just be overoptimistic on this one, but I think it's not impossible to make it a non-RU only LAN, providing that enough people are interested and that it's not just a one time thing.
