Updated to remove the 70's chapeau.
Valve in there infinite wisdom have added a further sub folder with this hat folder in it ( newhat) Makes sense because it could be a hat integral to game play - showing who has the ball in passtime. But for some unknown reason they added the 70's chapeau to that folder too? If someone from valve happens upon this please standardise your hat catalogue, I beg of you.

For future reference and others with this problem you dont need to "run" the file just place it in your custom folder.

Thats strange the DL is defiantly for a .vpk are you sure you are not trying to open it? Perhaps you could provide some screenshots? Add me if you want to ask any questions :)
Hello people.
Firstly a huge thank you to Springrolls! I was so pleased to see someone Stepping up in my absence and keeping the mod going!
Now to address why I disappeared I've had some long running mental issues that have been aggravated by some personal/family issues. Due to this I haven't been able to commit the time/energy to update. The good news is I'm now on some pretty heavy ADs and I am seeing a therapist which should help me on the road to recovery. So I have some more time to maintain the mod again.
Again sorry for being awol for about a month and again thank you Springrolls the TF2 community needs more people like you!

I know your intentions were good, but the hat model is most probably contained within the map files hence why you can see it.

Proof- You can see here that the hat does appear as removed in the headsfeet.vpk.
In the future I recommend any of the following before posting here:
If it appears in the store preview/itemtest or you cant find the file within GCFScape then come and post here.
