#40 TF2 Pre Update for 6/22/16 in TF2 General Discussion
k0ngzysaamk0ngzycan't wait for 60 tic deathmatches with viewmodels. It's exactly what b4nny envisioned for PC gaming and competitive TF2 as a whole.
you complain a lot for someone who's literally never played a competitive tf2 match

You dont complain enough and that's what makes you a weak frail beta autist.

matchmaking isnt for the competitive players here, it's for the pub stars to get into competitive

#529 unpopular tf2 opinions in TF2 General Discussion

The people that care the most about the future of TF2 are the production crews.

There is no such thing as natural talent. Well, like ping advantage, it exists but youll get nowhere thinking it does exist.

There is so much untapped potential in TF2 that will never see the light of day because the game has no more tyrones, is too small, and is too circlejerky. By that I mean there is very few people that are willing to play with players from lower divisions, and very few people that have the social skills to be able to keep their team on track and motivated.

EU and AU teams are worse than NA teams, but are way more fun to watch. Maybe it's just the ruleset?

TF2 is probably the worst thing to happen to some people. A good amount of people that play TF2 ignore the world around them or are in high school so it's ok. I mean follow your dreams I guess but at least understand how futile of an investment the game is. But matchmaking is coming soon so everyone drop out and quit your day jobs!

#67 "Matchmaking will fail" - Muselk in TF2 General Discussion
eeemarmadukeGRYLLSDidnt read any of this thread but my honest opinion about mm is it will spike briefly, a few more teams, but i dont expect esea to see any of that. With a f2p league as an option all the godawful mm players will flock there. Wont save the game but will prolong its lifep bad opinion overall. Even if all 1/10th of current tf2 players play MM enough to be interested in becoming competitive, you're looking at easily 10x more new players in the scene than there are now. That's assuming the game doesn't grow at all as a result of MM.

youre assuming MM and 6s are the same. There's definitely gunna be a lot of dropout between the 2

#17 "Matchmaking will fail" - Muselk in TF2 General Discussion
bl4nkIt never had a chance to succeed

every time i see blank post he says matchmaking will fail and gets upfragged, but as soon as muselk posts the same you guys all disagree. I don't really know who muselk is but he seems popular enough to know where most of the playerbase is so maybe his opinion means something but then again he's a pubber so iunno.

i think MM will have one of 2 effects:

1. People will play and say 'wow, that was so fucking bad that there must be some league or something where 90% of the shit is banned' and then proceed to find such a league. TF2 thrives and we're all happy campers

2. People will play and say 'wow, that was so fucking bad i think i will never play that again' and go back to pubbing/saxton hale/trading/jacking off in pony servers. TF2 stays the same and declines as more ppl leave for some first person moba action

I personally think the latter will happen but who knows

#44 What keeps you motivated to play tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

At first, I really liked jump maps and doing dumb stuff as roamer.
The game got a little stale but by then I had a good amount of people that thought I was shit so I kept playing to prove them wrong. That and I have aspirations to become the best roamer, even with the 80-120 ping i get.

Although now I'm more interested in becoming a great jumper & playing other games casually considering how much 6s is declining. I have a lot to prove in 6s but I'm beginning to think I don't need to prove it, especially not to the vast majority of unlikable invite players.
