shit posting aside this is just a stupid premise. Are there like 3 different circle jerks that are all permabanned that make it their life goal to ruin the experience for everyone else? Yes. But there are maybe 35 people total that fall into that category. The literal hundreds, if not thousands, of other players, are normal people looking to have some fun and are usually pretty chill. Whether it's a new player asking how to set up a team or someone who's been around forever, almost all of my interactions with other players are overwhelmingly positive.

Perhaps you see the community more negatively because you compulsively hyperfocus on cheeto and his crew to the point where you thought they hired a hitman to go kill you. I promise you if you can accept that there will always be a certain tiny portion of the community who are only in it to ruin the experience for others, I assure you that you will see how good the community is considering this is a 17-year-old game. I know I'm a little late to the party on this, but I agree with everyone who is saying that fees could be implemented relatively successfully into ETF2L. While offering a free league certainly has its benefits, a paid service (assuming the money is reinvested and managed wisely) would most likely offer a far greater experience in the long-term than the free alternative. UGC is only able to run because the league owners are willing to spend thousands of dollars each year hosting a site, servers, and backend utilities - something that is very hard to hand off to someone else. I assume the same is true for ETF2L. A paid service will allow for greater site development, better access to league staff and associated services (casting matches, merch, LAN management, PUGs, etc), and an environment that may make alters/cheaters think twice before sinking a few bucks into a new account. While I can say firsthand that there are positive elements of keeping a league free, there are many many more elements (at least to me) that are available by having a constant, reinvested stream of revenue to promote longevity, health, and quality of the league experience.

I have no clue. I was under the impression that our medals were being shipped out in this update. All of the necessary information was consolidated and sent to the right people but there is a degree of separation between me and valve, so I can't say for sure what happened. I am just as disappointed as you and I want my medals too. I am doing what I can to figure out what went wrong, but either way, it seems like medals won't be distributed until the next update.

Literally this. I assume everyone on this forum has been to school or had a job at some point - if you hand in an assignment or submit a work project late, using the excuse "bruh it was only 2 days" probably won't get you very far. RGL's expectations for players here are so unburdensome, first, they request you record your demos, something that takes 5 minutes tops to set up once, second, they ask you to submit them within 48 hours, even though it should take any person with a functioning brain literally 2 minutes max to find it, upload it, and send it to the admin. Even if RGL decided not to punish people for not submitting demos, they should still ban people for 2 weeks for being so incompetent.

Can I use these in competitive too?

It's not a "cover up", it's respecting the privacy of people who wanted all of this to be private.

If you were so concerned with the public not knowing why they got banned, why didn't you just tell your friends the reason? Surely that is a better outcome than leaking the private reports that the victims created to prevent the public from knowing what they had to endure. Surely as someone who claims to have been a victim themselves, you can appreciate the need for secrecy and confidentiality, yet you, someone with similar experiences, decided the best course of action was to leak these sensitive documents with no regard for the victims? Shame on you. Just because one of the victims messaged people themselves about it does not give you the right to leak things. Just because RGL seemingly did not ban your stalker does not give you the right to leak these things. Just because RGL never made the reasons behind the ban public does not give you the right to leak these things. Just because another admin leaked these reports does not give you the right to leak these things. For the first time in quite a while, I think the RGL ban should be longer.
