#4 Closing thoughts on S37's plugins in TF2 General Discussion

-Process
Personally, I didn't notice much of a difference but it probably is a major QOL improvement for soldiers considering all the splashbugs before.

-Winger
I still think it is way too easy to abuse winger. I'd consider a different approach such as a cooldown after two jumps for example. The only thing this plugin fixed is that people with a script had to grow 2 working fingers in order to press their quick switch key.

-Solemn Vow
I think it is completely fine. I remember the only arguments against it were that it is a straight upgrade and that it lowers the skill ceiling but we already have a weapon like that for another class so those points don't matter.

charle only problem i have with solemn vow is that if one med runs it the other med almost has to for it to be balanced

This is the same for the ubersaw.

-Scout speed
This noticeably nerfed the majority of pocket scouts. Personally I barely felt a difference except that medics were actually catchable after a won fight and that my team could rarely ever follow up on my flanks. I don't really care if it stays or not

- Gunboats always apply
I still think this is way too overtuned but there is no other logical solution I could think of. Ironically, soldiers now do what they always complained about when it happened to them. Despite how overpowered this plugin is I think it should stay, maybe try out some small adjustments to the damage reduction.

decaNas insults me after I talk some shit chat to him

Okay look
People on PugChamp insult each other all the time, but those people usually know each other, play with each other or just in general know how far they can go before friendly banter starts offending the other person. HOWEVER, you can not do that if you're not tight with the other person. By the way, this is how it works in real life as well.

So what you are telling me now is that you started chatting shit to a person you don't know and now you are upset that they got back at you for it? Not only that, but instead of realizing that he did not take it as banter but as offense instead, you decided to press the matter and REWRITE what he deleted? I'm sorry?

#25 thoughts on cups? in TF2 General Discussion

For this cup there were way too many games. By sunday I was super tired of playing TF2. I think the lockdown cup earlier this year had a better approach by splitting the invite teams into two groups, especially because the group stage barely matters anyway.

Apart from that I suppose cups should be held every 6 months maybe (if the no LAN period goes on). I think if they happen too often they are gonna lose their appeal and nobody is gonna sign up.

#48 Refresh: Gully (Prerelease thread) in Map Discussion
CollaideSorry if I'm posting too much here, but is there a consensus among top players? As the kaidus rollout technically was possible before this makes it basically 100% consistent and may make it harder for teams. (do not take the med speed removal into account please).

Demoman is already devastatingly powerful early mid. It shouldn't be 100% consistent, because a fast demoman can already get two stickies off before the pressuring scout is even able to jump up the wooden wall.

AelkyrNot a top player but not a fan of removing the railing on launchpad on last as it made it much more holdable.

We don't have any data on this but it should be quite the opposite because now you don't have to overextend as much if you want to spam a sentry from balcony.
