#7 Motherboard problem? in Hardware
Magikarp@smaka I couldn't find it but I was told taking out the motherboard battery would be doing the same thing to reset the CMOS.

It does reset the CMOS. Just shutdown, pull it out for a couple of minutes, and then reseat and boot up.

Also try unplugging any USB devices other than your keyboard and mouse.

#4 Why does everyone edit on Sony Vegas? in TF2 General Discussion

It's the simplest and easiest way to sync music and make simple transitions. The only reason to use a different editor is to get access to better effects, which don't make the difference for a video in most cases.

#11 highest fps+config.cfg in Q/A Help
audiopicmip hack my system is e8400 3 ghz and gtx 260 asus p5q motherboard
you mean the nivida inspector or an other programm? for the picmip hack

or that one https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/467470/nvidia-geforce-sli-profile-tool-export-edit-import-manage-your-sli-profiles-for-drivers-256-and-la/?

I used to destroy TF2 with maxframes and basically the same setup. It's a shame the game has tanked so far for a few hats.

#37 DM/MGE Buddies Needed in Q/A Help
Waldobut too many people use it the wrong way, jumping straight up whenever someone jumps you works in MGE, but not in a game.

If you actually have good DM, shit like that won't work on you. Honestly, the best way to not get frustrated with MGE and improve your DM is to not even pay much attention (AKA: Mihaly's flow, which is actually a thing). DM will will become second nature, like rocket jumping does, and you'll be able to focus more on meta-game in an actual match.

#3 TF2 crash as soon as I see the main menu. in Q/A Help

Your config.cfg still gets restored even if you turn off steam cloud. Try deleting all the text in your config.cfg and then setting it to read only.

#6 are benq's worth it? in Hardware

If it's a newer BenQ with 3D Vision 2 and Lightboost then it might be worth it depending on how much money you have or are making.

You sound so much like Lange on stream you don't even know. Just keep playing you'll be fine.

#14 Mouse Feet in Hardware

I just complained to Razer about my mouse feet wearing down to avoid paying for new ones and they sent me a new pair. Might want to try that with Logitech but I don't know if they ship just mouse feet replacements.

#14 Razer Edge in Hardware

The idea is still impractical today because the technology in various areas of mobile computing (CPU power, battery life, scale of components) just isn't there yet but companies still have to put in effort to make advances in the area or it won't go anywhere. Personal computers weren't even imaginable a few of decades ago.

Here's a review of what they could manage with today's tech: http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/28/4156718/razer-edge-hands-on-pictures

#6 Changing my processor in Hardware
SherbYeah thanks guys! I somehow didn't even notice that little bump was there.

With that and a bit of force, I successfully removed it, and installed my brand new 8350 :D

It's quite loud right now, and make a constant whirring noise, but I've been told that it's normal, especially for new processors.

Again, thanks so much for the help!

If it's the stock fan-sink then you shouldn't expect it to be too great with sound anyway.

The gap between BF3 and BF4 will be 2 years if it does release in the fall, not 1. Battlefield has never been annual.

#12 a dumshit moment lately? in Off Topic
Not_MatlockWhen I first got an Antec 900 case for my old computer there was an andio in/out on the front of the case. I plugged them into what I thought was the correct connector on my mobo, plugged in my old headset, and turned on my computer. I hear a big POP and the computer goes off.

So I decided to build a new computer at that point since I just managed to fry my ancient mobo. I sent the case back, got an Antec 1200 case and all new parts. Hooked everything up, made sure the front audio hookups were in the correct spot, plugged in my headset and started the computer. POP.

Sent the motherboard back for an RMA, got a new one and gave up entirely on using any case audio. Now I have the Antec DF-85 case and I still have the front audio hookups tucked away behind the back panel without ever plugging them in. All they ever seem to do is fry my mobo.

This is completely off topic but anyway... you can't fry your motherboard by plugging you're front panel I/O to the case. Even if you hooked it up in the most incorrect configuration possible the only thing would happen is your power button wouldn't work.
