I think it's more so due to them getting shit for "crawling back" to TF2. If they weren't by going for actual work related reasons they wouldn't be. Seems like a perfectly reasonable response to me especially given the flack they've already received simply for attending.

TheMackey5Maybe do a showmatch or something on tf.tv, these worked out pretty well for any fundraiser in the past.
Also maybe you could add some easy or stupid perks like in the se7en fundraiser. Getting signed teampictures or custom shoutouts or whatever will get some people to donate some extra 20 bucks or so I think while printing a photo and get the signatures for example only would've take a few minutes (I have no idea how expensive shipping stuff like this is tho).
