World is a pretty fucked up place, events like this remind us of how different we all are, we need to celebrate how much alike we all are, for example talk about our love of TF2. After all, that is why we're here.
You aren't making yourself look like the better human being for telling us to feel sympathy for the victims, for most civilized people that is common sense of course we feel sympathy for them.
There is a difference between discussion and slinging shit.
Discussing things usually stops when people start name calling. Discussion usually stops reason goes from causative to generalizations about entire subtypes.
For instance: This thread makes me feel like Europe is a bunch of inbred shitlords with no tact.
That's not discussion. It's an opinion, but there's not much more to it than a brazen attack at people/cultures. It may very well be qualified by a minority, but it is a generalization made about a minority.
Another instance is: This issue has been brewing for much longer than most of this community has been alive, we're seeing it explode lately because the people that are causing it are now biting the hand that fed them.
Fairly well constructed stance since the US and other parts of the Western world have been allowing these areas to go unregulated/unquestioned for quite a few decades. It's a little ignorant/simplistic, but can be expanded on.
Not understanding the difference between shitslinging and constructed thoughts is the epitome of forum "discussion" and it's cool, we get it, you have an opinion. But it's bad and you should feel bad.
