It's mine and pure luck in a pug, but! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XOeOQLoNqo
MunchGood luck adjusting to the ping difference when you start playing on the esea servers. Heh.
Well, I (pocket) play in some NA DM servers sometimes, our demo is in Canada, our roamer used to ring for a NA team sometime ago, ping is not a big deal for the scouts and the medic only needs to play safe and don't cook the uber for too long. I hope it doesn't get in our way 8)
That feel when we haven't been scriming with NA teams so we have no idea if our schedule is hard or easy :|
Would you guys accept a brhuehue into those lobbies?! The pings are not so bad for fighting games!
I actually used to change my windows location tu USA to get the USA flag and don't get kicked when I used to play because there are almost noone playing it in Brazil :(
KumaDougSo you actually get better ping playing on NA servers?o_OJasI can assure you, as a Australian, do not under-estimate the retardness of Australian routing. Sometimes my packets to Melbourne (1 state away) will get routed through to Adelaide (imagine you want to play on a NY server and you're in NJ but your packet does a round trip to Houston first). Here in South America, when I want to play in a Chilean or Argentinean server, my ISP sends my packets to USA and then to Chile/Argentina, so I get 300+ ping, meanwhile Argentineans and Chileans can play in Brazilian servers with 50~80 ping.
International routing is an even bigger joke.
Thats quite broken...
Yep. In USA I get 140~180 ping

KanecoDougEven if you are connected through cable, your router can still be the problem. I had a problem like this and the only way I solved was connecting the cable directly to the internet modem, skipping completely my router. I had to disconnect my wi-fi when I wanted to play anything online until I got a new router. Its a modem/router all in one http://www.zen.co.uk/userfiles/documents/shared/broadband/hardware/thomson-tg784.pdf same as that one but one even older model.
And it can't be replaced because around here they are owned by the ISPs and use proprietary firmware and only they can change them, guess I'll have to insist there's something wrong with it and get someone to replace it with a newer model
Get a server IP and type "ping IP -t" in CMD and show the results to the ISP technician to prove them how the signal is inconsistent.

JackyLegsThe "Game for Windows LIVE" is dead, which Rockstar will probably not be using, so that makes the 1st screenshot fake.
Well, to be fair, that's not a Game for Windows LIVE box, that's a Game for Windows box, just the same as Napoleon Total War, which doesn't use GFWL (http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mNiVBwbyewstWp3A9Q_fQoQ.jpg)
When a game uses GFWL, there is a LIVE written somewhere in there, as you can see in Super Street Fighter IV box: http://cdn3.spong.com/pack/s/u/superstree349128l/_-Super-Street-Fighter-IV-Arcade-Edition-PC-_.jpg
The first kind of logo means nothing, only that the game is for PC.
mwelp another episode of low open level foreigners getting lucky
ETF2L and ESEA aren't the only leagues in the world...
Couldn't join, had a match at the same time :(
