#9 CS, TF2, and sensitivity. in TF2 General Discussion

CS:GO is much more about mid to long range fights with much smaller movements of the mouse. TF2 often includes lots of short-range flicks and looking around. I have a sensitivity script with high (About 8) and low (About 15) settings in TF2, I exclusively use the low sens setting for CS:GO.

#16 League of Legends World Championships in Esports

Thanks a bunch. That's a lot of great info I'm only really familiar with the StarCraft scene so a bunch of the Korean teams are familiar, even if in name only. Guess I'll have to figure out who to root for now.

I am unfamiliar with the competitive league scene. Can anyone quickly explain or give a link to a general explanation of what tournament is going today, and what the stories of the teams competing are?

#1853 HUD editing: short questions, quick answers in Customization

I've been trying to figure out my HUD and I have no idea what to do. I'd appreciate some help. I have PVHUD and I've been trying to fiddle around my files with no success. I've gone in tf/resource/ui, opened up "TargetID.res", and gone to "TargetDataLabel". But from there, I'm stuck. I've tried changing the "wide" and "tall" values but neither have done anything. I've also changed the font to "Default" but nothing happens. Many thanks in advance for help.

We should meet up so we can stand next to each other awkwardly for 3 minutes.

lucrativeDayNifeThe only problem with the Venue aside from the monitors I think was the location. It's tough to get to by anything other than car. That aside, the place was pretty great. Like Sheo said though, having a stream and/or an stv on the projector would've been really cool.
I think the quality of then venue greatly outweighs the inconvenience of the location tbh

Quality is really important, yes but I don't think you can ignore the players who have to commute with all their gear to the location. I don't think anyone would prefer a bad venue with a good location, but especially for people taking public transit, a good way to get to the place is helpful. A 20 minute walk from the station isn't terrible, but if we have to bring our own monitors on top of keyboards, mouses and headsets, it suddenly becomes a lot harder to do without a ride there.

This is really only a problem if we use the same venue again and we have to bring our own 120/144hz monitors but it's something to keep in mind.

lucrativeI think mangachu had a good point of possibly just making it like a monthly meet up as well, save the bigger stuff for a bigger event but would be cool to still do a monthly meet up thing and pick teams with captains or whatever and play pug games and chill

I think once a month might be a tad much. I think maybe 2 months. With school and work for everyone, it might be tough to get a consistent number of players showing up if it's too often.

144hz would be the bomb. And I'm pretty sure having no prize would be fine with pretty much everyone.

I think if we can't get our own individual computers, having something like a checklist of which files and folders to bring with you so that you can setup your configs and huds really fast would be good. Other than that, being able to stream or at least record mumble/stv together for casting would be great. Even if we don't get any actual casters, I'm sure it'd be really nice if we could just get people from other teams doing play-by-play.

Biggest thing I think is getting the date down a lot earlier in advance so that it's easier for people to commit. I think we could've had at least 36+ players if we knew the date a couple months in advance.

Had a blast today. Even more fun than anticipated. Super big thanks to Hidi for putting this together. It was a big endeavour and she pretty much single-handedly took care of this event. She deserves all the credit.

Also shoutout to my boys Swagriculture for carrying me, Dashner for dropping in to say hi/help out, Ark for meeting up and walking to the place with me and everyone else who came. It was super fun and I hope we can do this again soon.

I took a couple videos of the event, I'll try to put them up tomorrow.

P.S. And thanks to my good friend Spades Slick.
