If you want a gaming laptop get sager/clevo/msi
You can get a gaming laptop now with a desktop cpu and a desktop gpu. Pretty much a portable desktop. The issue with gaming laptops is that the hardware in them is not as fast as a desktop so you always miss out.

NobleDave_I still can't get the custom killsound to work

I put the file in tf\custom\Dave_\sound\ui\killsound.wav

no dice
Make sure you're not on sv_pure 2.

still have it on sv_pure 2, but I figured it out

sound\ui\hitsound.wav killsound.wav
sound\ui\hitsound\hitsound.wav killsound.wav

Valve just needs to add those to the sv_pure 2 list and we're golden
