is this map intended to be designed for competitive play, or more for pubs?

Pugs just ended for the night, were very successful in terms of players coming in! Hope that everyone had a fun time playing tonight!
Starting pugs for the night! Pug mumble is mbl37.gameservers.com port 10008
Hey, I know there was once already a new map pug group (original thread here), but with the new slurry of maps being released in alpha/beta and the old group having been abandoned since January, I figured this idea might not be a bad pug format to revive. We've hosted one pug last night with half-decent results, and plan on running continually on weekends.
- Current Map Rotation:
- cp_cardinal_a1a
- cp_cargo_a5
- cp_reckoner_b3
- cp_logjam_rc2a
- koth_bagel_a6
- cp_bravo_a3b
- cp_atacama_a3b
Our map rotation is open to suggestions, and in the very near future we will be implementing a Google Forms survey between pug maps to collect feedback data for maps as an attempt to become another feedback source for mapmakers. Pugs will be hosted every weekend from 10:30 PM EST onward, and will be kept alive as long as we have 12 people waiting to play.
Both of our head admins have experience hosting other pug groups with varying degrees of success, however we aim to make this a unique and fun experience for anyone who wishes to play. We'll be hosting weekends starting at 9:30 PM EST if anyone would like to step in and join.
Bubbzi is a really cool guy in general. I've had him as an admin in both my pug groups as he's responsible and very reliable to show up when you ask him to. He always did a great job of picking apart our flank in scrims and our match, and has solid commitment to improving. Pick this guy up
ConsoleHe was incredibly tilty and killed our S21 open team
rzrAll I know is that he likes to kill teams
LifemarrHe just cut the whole team except the med tonight when we lost a scrim vs a silver team.
leftovers_looks scammy as fuck
TheWandererIt shows all the signs of a scam. Don't even accept.
Are scam sites like these really common or is this just a one-off occurrence? Just asking b/c I'm pretty new to CS:GO
Just got an invite from a private profile that isn't friends with me to join a steam group for the CS:GO site csgo999.com.
Never heard of it and it looks suspicious as hell (nowhere to contact them, consistent misspellings of words). Their steam group only has 17 members, even though on the site it claims to have had 1871 users in traffic today on their top banner. Here's the steam group I got invited to: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/csgo999_3034. Also, just noticed that the owner of the group is level 0 private. This seems really fucked
Is this a new site or an existing one? Also, isn't their current betting system not allowed by Valve as seen with all of the recent cease and desist letters and lawsuits? Are scam sites (like this one seems to be) common and should I not be posting about it?
XelloseJust going to post this to help alleviate some needs. If you really dislike me or something get it out now or forever hold your peace.
While I do indeed dislike you on a personal level, this is not what my post was about. It was just saying that my experiences with you as a co-leader and team member have been negative, and solely on those bases would I advise people to express concern, regardless of my personal relationship with you.
XelloseSeriously if you want to say shit then say it don't hold yourself back I wont kill myself because I'm not selfish or retarded.
I don't really know what this means, never told you to kill yourself?
Not sure about the other talent on this team, but my experiences with xellose are iffy at best. Be warned he used to hack and I have no clue if he still does or has stopped. He was incredibly tilty and killed our S21 open team. Hoping that he's changed since then, but be warned. I see some names like HatSimulator that make this team look promising.
Snivystage host/meatball chef eXtine!
Yaoooooo
So right now in MixChamp we are stuck in an eternal game because there are no admins on who can kill the mix. Our team captain did not want to play demo and reported himself. However, our scout had to leave after he had previously left both mumble and the site. We could not start the mix, find a sub, or get an admin.I feel like I have some suggestions for the MixChamp captaining. Is there any way there can be a system in which:
A) Players can choose whether or not they wish to captain as to avoid this situation
B)Players who rep themselves as captains can elect a new captain/sub a new captain in in case anyone else needs to leave
C)Players who rep themselves as captains have a slightly longer cooldown
Pug got killed finally, still hoping some of these changes get considered.
Used to think the dude was legit a psychopath, then had an actual 1 on 1 discussion with him and he seems like a pretty cool dude.Seems like kind of a meme in pugs but he pounded anytime he was subbing for his open team against us in scrims. Pick him up if you get the chance.
Just played my first pug, was pretty happy overall about the experience other than a few stats not working and having to play medic against atomic on sniper. Looking forward to the full release in all regions soon!
fun to hang with, dedicated to improving
