Wingman slower firerate also means you recover more spread between shots. It's actually more effective for most players now in ADS.

Peacekeeper can still be glitched for fire rate so bolt nerf is meaningless.

Every patch I start having stability issues. After the last couple of patches I just uninstall and reinstall the game, default all the binds and video settings, and then set everything back to the way I like it. It resolves the vast majority of my crashes.

I've had the new hero sensor version of the MX518 for a few months now. It's great, LOD is just about perfect for me. I really didn't like the ultra low LOD of alot of other mice and was glad that while this is lower than the G400/G400s was it's still a bit more forgiving if you barely lift your mouse as you click, also avoids the awkward "pixel walk"/stutter of a lot of ultra low LOD mice can have.

1 major caveat is that the tracking on the mouse can be a bit weird in color transitions. If you have a mousepad that has a lot of variation in brightness on it you may have issues. I had some issues with tracking on a mousepad that had red and white transitions and it would consistently have a weird stutter behavior when going over it. I strongly believe this is tied to how Hero mice calibrate LOD if they detect major differences in mouse surface, easily reproduced by trying a hard white mouse pad and then quickly switching over to a black cloth pad mouse will not be able to track well for roughly 0.5s. No issues with solid color mousepads, didn't notice any issues with going over even a Corsair MM300 so most mousepads are probably fine.

The Nixeus is hot garbage. They changed the shape enough to make it bad for basically every grip style. Technically it's better for a fingertip grip than the original shell style but who wants a ~95g fingertip mouse?

The latency increase iirc was something like ~160 microseconds i.e. 0.16ms nothing that big at all and you went from a max tracking speed of about ~3.5m/s to ~4.4m/s as well in going from G400 -> G400s (done with self testing on a QCK)

The G402 was a shitty conglomeration of materials and design with 1 good idea. Take the G100s sensor shove it in something that vaguely resembles the MX500 shape and add an "accelerometer" to it so it can track up to 10m/s but the point that accelerometer would kick in was something like 3.0m/s and during that transition mouse latency would increase suddenly and decrease suddenly once you were back under that tracking speed. Granted we're talking about +/- 0.5ms at any given point around 3.0m/s it was just awkward. To make it worse it was entirely unnecessary the PMW3366 that was put in the G502 was far better overall and could easily do 6.5m/s +

I count the accelormeter as a good thing but its implementation should've been used for lower budget gaming mice.

To me it seems like a waste of system resources just to change the color of a tracer before it hits, why run the extra extrapolation just to change something from yellow to red? It's a pretty small detail that can and probably does have a pretty big frame rate impact. Especially if there's a chance the server won't accept the hit as an actual hit.

It's also pretty dumb how easy it is to exploit certain glitches.

Not to mention the untold legions of player who're literally crashing constantly. Just having discord open not using it causes me to crash at least once per hour, using it with a full squad of 3 with any fps cap that's more than 100 or entirely uncapped is literally every game I don't die within the first couple minutes of landing.

I've tried literally everything their community troubleshooting guide has in it at this point issue still occurs though a lot less if you have absolutely nothing open in the background, fps_max 75, no cpu/ram/gpu overclocks, etc etc etc.

I can't remember a single game were at least 4 people didn't crash/dc before anyone even left the dropship.

The last peacekeeper shot of mine, in the very last frame before I died it shows my peacekeeper having gone down to 0 ammo from 1. Show my projectiles hitting the lifeline and the blood mist starting to form around the lifeline.

Also if you slow down clips/vods of gameplay with a lot of SMGs/ARs you'll notice that the client will render some tracers as red and some as yellow. Nearly all projectiles that will count as a hit will have a red tracer even if the bullet hasn't necessarily hit the model yet.

240Hz + blur reduction is pretty awful due to strobe crosstalk, you minimize it a little bit but not much at 1080p with current Display bandwidth specs, not sure if their will be any additional headroom for 1440p 240Hz either.

I kinda sorta hacked my way into getting the BenQ XL2540 to do the G-Sync compatibility with Blur Reduction on and it was amongst the worst things I've seen on a monitor if you're consistently bouncing around 180-240 fps. The strobe-crosstalk will constantly shift until it disappears and suddenly reappears. * The blur reduction would also frequently disable if you did pretty much anything with your monitor or display settings.

1440p + IPS + 240Hz is still a bit off, and honestly I'd recommend waiting even if it means buying a stop-gap monitor you're not 100% content with if you're truly chasing what many would consider a perfect monitor.

I played the tutorial, if you didn't notice that massive body of text didn't involve the actual raw gameplay what-so-ever.

Just because a game is currently good doesn't mean it can't be ruined. Battlefront 1&2 at a base level were decent games same with FIFA (I've never played FIFA but everything I hear about the actual game itself people seem to enjoy) and both of them could be/could have been significantly better experiences if EA didn't bog them down just to suck every last $ from a player.

I still highly recommend people to just flatout not pay for unlocking characters, it's a feature that shouldn't exist end of story.

Got to play for just over an hour yesterday. Game is really good, definitely worth a try even for people who're not fans of battle royale games.

TTK seems to be much higher than alot of other battle royale games. I'm saying "seems" largely because the only weapons that I'm aware of that can 1 hit kill I haven't even seen used. The shotguns have a fairly large spread and the commonly found shotguns do 90-150dmg maximum on headshot (assuming no helmet), you're not likely to see the Fortnite meta of 1-pumping people. All weapons in the game have bullet travel time so the slow firing sniper rifles can be extremely brutal if you miss.

If you play around with your squad it doesn't matter much if you're picked off at range by a sniper as your teammates can revive you fairly quickly and getting to cover even when knocked down is not that bad. It's really hard to eliminate a player that's knocked down (especially if they have a knockdown shield) without knocking down the entire squad unless you use a close range "finisher" move that leaves you really vulnerable for 3-5s.

Oh and there's no fall damage!

Haven't got to play in a setting where everyone is using voice chat yet, but this game really does reward players for sticking together and playing as a team. Definitely the most fun I've had in any BR game.

My cynicism may come across as a bit overboard to most, but literally everything that EA has touched in the last few years that's remotely multiplayer focused ends up being a micro-transaction hell. EA deserves every single bit of cynicism that I have and then some.

I really hope this game doesn't go that route, I even have a tweet out that just so happened to basically ask for what Apex Legends is the day it was released (which I didn't know at the time). The only things about this game that scares me is the paid heros and being tied to EA.

Just saying people need to proceed with extreme caution, gambling addiction is real and EA really likes getting people caught into a rng lootbox/cardpack system and will do almost anything to get them started.

This is basically a guarantee that this game is going to be a micro-transaction heavy game where alot of the content is locked by additional paywalls and some of that content WILL give a team an advantage over a team that hasn't paid for it or spend the near eternity to grind for it.
