Sounds like the mgespawns config isn't in the proper directory or using the proper name.
Can you post contents of /tf/addons/sourcemod/configs as well as verify the value specified in the mgemod_spawnfile convar?

In scout v scout an effective method of aiming is mirroring your opponent's movement.

Another method that can work well against bad scouts is circle strafing; use one movement key and adjust your mouse to be on your opponent while you move. A bad scout or one with low sensitivity will have difficulty tracking you, and you can end up behind them to shoot them in the back.

Additionally, as mentioned A-D-A-D-A-D can be effective. Try to make your movement and timing random with this otherwise it's very predictable and becomes easy to hit, throwing in WASD instead of simply ADADADAD can make you significantly more difficult to hit. If you're having trouble hitting your shots, look towards an ADADAD pattern since it will be easier for you to hit your shots.

For aiming, it's been said a thousand times: DO NOT TWITCH. Twitching CAN work and give you good ("lucky") results occasionally, but for consistent results don't twitch your mouse. A large portion of your aiming should be done via movement and if necessary slight and smooth adjustments with your mouse.

In-game there's additional factors to take into consideration; don't take a fight that you can't win. If you don't have an advantage, get one. Then win.

Get a buff when your opponent doesn't have one. Get another scout with you. Get a roamer with you.
Then go destroy the scout.

There isn't an automated way or a way outside of the game to play back the demo files.

A few methods you could use:

• Use lawena recording tool to playback the demo and record video as TGA with WAV audio, then using virtualdub to convert to AVI and compressing from there
  
• Use a video recording software like Fraps while playing back the demo in game
  
• Use a streaming service like twitch to stream the service, saving the vod after.

Unfortunately (And trust me, I looked) there's no external programs to playback demo files, STV or POV :(

Seems to load okay here, I don't believe it's an issue with twitch.

As stupid as it is; have you tried powercycling your router & modem?
Simply unplugging both from power, waiting 30 seconds and plugging them back in resolves tons of networking issues for soho networks.

If the issue persists beyond that, I would suggest using CCleaner from Piriform (https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) to clear cache, temp files, etc.

Iconcache is corrupted

1. Open Folder Options to select (dot) Show hidden files and folders.
2. Open a Windows Explorer window.
3. Go to C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local
4. Right click on IconCache.db and click on Delete.
5. Click on Yes to confirm the deletion.
NOTE: This deletes the file to the Recycle Bin. It is safe to empty the Recycle Bin when finished.
6. Close the window.
7. Empty the Recycle Bin.
8. Restart the computer.

Hi, I'm the genius that came up with the poor phrasing in OP.
It sounded funnier in mumble. Whoops.

More serious note:
We're just looking to play on a team that isn't bad and won't die part way through the season. Both of us have great DM for open, and his movement is pretty good. Comms are of good quality and concise. We will not ramble during a scrim/match.

We have played together for a while and are able to play off of each other. We're able to play a variety of scout roles, whether you're looking for a few bodies to cover the flank, or play a heal heavy pocket role; we can make that happen.

We both also have pretty solid availability and like to scrim 5-7 days a week. :]

Give us a try, you won't be disappointed.

I was specifically referring to his play style --

"Hey guys! I'm 158 HP. Time to jump into 4 of them and put my team one player down for last. again."

Proof being that iT played that much better with a pocket that ISN'T doing that, is the 5-0 on mixup. Under normal 'yolo' circumstances that would be a 5-4, 5-3.

It might sound silly, do you guys have tf2 open while trying to use the updater? Will 10/10 times cause a crash. If you close it, installer should work without issue. I was able to update from 3.8.1 to 3.9.0 and to 3.9.1

@Admiral_Obesity rays released 3.9.1 yesterday with bug fixes. He committed them to github which looks to be where the hud installer grabs the files from. Rays probably didn't have a chance to update the post yet.
