#1 Black pieces on back of graphics card fell off in Hardware

I recently traveled with my computer and thought that it would be best (on the long trip) to remove the graphics card from the comptuer and put it in its original box, so that it doesn't bang around during the car ride. I packed it in the box like when it arrived, all the safe plastic/padding, etc.

The card is a GTX 580 from EVGA. There are these little black rectangular pieces on the back that I noticed chipped off during the ride, and I have no idea what they are. I am afraid to leave the computer running for long with these things off. The computer does boot, but I turned it off quickly to prevent damage.

I circled in red the places where the black rectangles are here: http://i.imgur.com/TZAGsEN.jpg

There are also some of these pieces on the back of what looks like where the GPU is. These did not chip off. They only chipped off from where I circled on the picture. If it helps, they all have the same writing on them: "330" (this is in larger letters, separated) followed by "9841z e" (this is in smaller letters, underneath). Also, in small white writing on the back of the card itself, numbers like C593, C597, C600, C604, C586 all seem to label these spots on the card.

I am having a lot of trouble figuring out what these things are/what any of the stuff on the back of graphics cards are. I suppose my questions are, what fell off? Is it safe to use the card with them off? Can I repair this? Etc.

Thanks for any help.

#3 wiggles_ looking in Recruitment (looking for team)

Wiggles is really good at scout and a really good person. He takes his role seriously and acts as a really great friend if you ever need him to. Definitely not a rager, knows how to hit the meat.

The only reason to not pick him up for an IM team would be if he does not fit your playstyle. His aim, comms, and attitude are all there.

#4 LFT Pocket Mid-High Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Panda is really nice and dedicated, never rages, and always ready to discuss how your team is playing and how to improve/what mistakes were made. He is also very mature, creating a great mumble environment overall.

His DM has been improving steadily. If you pick him up he will only get better!

#25 What the hell do i do in this situation. in Off Topic

Those equations are enough to do any kinematics problem. The last one he didn't give you is just adding xi to both sides of the one he did give you. Just think of that one as d = vi t + 1/2 a t^2, where d is the distance you move from the starting position.

Xf=xi+1/2(Vf+Vo)t is rarely used and you shouldn't need it. Vf=Vo+at isn't really something you should have to be given... it's like d = vt but in velocity form.

Anyways, the problem isn't that you lack formulas, it's just that your teacher has been bat at teaching you how to use them. Try and look up example problems in your textbook and online that involve these equations / questions similar to those he has given you. Physics becomes a lot easier once you have an example to work off of.

#260 ESEA S15 NA Open Happenings/Predictions in TF2 General Discussion
mone day we will have a season where somebody doesnt complain about experienced players playing in an OPEN division when there are roster hijacking rules we have to abide by

The point of these complaints is to address the hijacking rules, not to whine that open players are afraid of competition. Most people would prefer that teams which involve some mixture of ex-inviters on their mains/offclassing were moved up a division or two. I know that this has been addressed by admins before, and their response is simply "we can't do anything about it," which a lot of people can't help but to consider inadequate. New invite rosters are moved into invite every season, why can't the same be done for teams that would clearly be better off in IM or Main?

mthe most/more experienced teams have always won open because thats how the game works, im sorry your wonderteam of 4 pugstars and two friends who played a lobby once are going to have a hard time against that

I really don't see why you have to put it this way. Like, people make legitimate complaints only to be talked down to by you? The concern here is to help players stay in the community and help it grow. An easy way to prevent teams from dying after their third match (this happens a lot) because they got rolled in 10 minutes by invite offclassers is to make sure that they don't play a team like that. Of course some teams really aren't experienced enough to be in open, and they will inevitably die, but we should still try to help teams stay alive if possible.

mif anything having an additional divison besides open will eventually work to remedy that by shifting more players outside of open, but idk what good mentioning it every 3 months does

Hopefully. But the point in mentioning it is to try and fix a problem, not to just complain pointlessly.
