Internet.bs has cheap .tf domains. I bought one while in the USA, no VPN or anything needed. I have forgotten the exact steps, but I think I just entered a European (Switzerland, specifically) Mailing Address. A USA Billing Address worked for payment, but I think there's a currency conversion fee. But then, there's no EU VAT either.

CarnOn top of that, if you want to load any map on game startup, all you have to do is put "+map [filename]" into your launch options for tf2. So to load that map and get these animations on startup, just go to your tf2 properties > launch options, and put "+map preload_room" in, and it'll start your game on that map.
Does +map preload_room in launch options do the same thing as map preload_room in autoexec.cfg?

My bad. I got the two mixed up. Thanks for the correction.

McNuggzJust to be sure, when you install the remove bullet hole dust and put it into the scripts folder do you need to change the .txt file to a .cfg file?
No. Scripts are .txt's or .ctx's. Configs are .cfg's. Just leave the bullet dust remover as a .txt file and put it in the scripts folder.

Put on some clothes. That's just indecent.
I like the lighting on _u12. It's a definite improvement for visibility. I also like the switch to nonsolid eaves. That said, _u12 has a lot of issues that either weren't reported or weren't fixed from _u10.
On RED side:
Old Issue: the the left corner has some ugly overlap between the roofs.

New issue: the eave over Second-Saw is solid. You can get caught on it when jumping up and even stand on it.

New issue: the eaves on Mid are solid.

On BLU side:
Old issue: you can stand on the boiler in Lobby. It's not a wallbug; there's a lip you can walk along.
http://i.imgur.com/EK2AYTb.jpg
Old issue: the clipbrush above Catwalk protrudes past the wall.
http://i.imgur.com/vZoieIx.jpg
New issue: you can stand on the eave above the wall vent at Mid.

New issue: the eave above the Saw-Mid is solid and can catch jumping players.

On both sides:
Old issue: you can stand over the door at the Second-Saw connector.

Old issue: the following eaves are solid:

Old issue: the lights shine through the log on Train. I forget if this was a Source engine bug or not.
http://i.imgur.com/8IVye1m.jpg
New issue: it would be nice if the corrugated metal were on top of the roofs at Mid, instead of hanging underneath. It's unclear where the roof is nonsolid and where it's solid.
http://i.imgur.com/IXkRGOr.jpg
New issue: the Shacks are inconsistent. The ones at Mid have nonsolid eaves, while the ones at last and the Tower are clipped off.

Due to the new hiding spots and other asymmetry, _10 is still more usable than _12. Thanks for putting in the work consistently to release updates! Snakewater's getting really close to perfect!
ScrambledIt's almost like people who know a hell of a lot more about the game than valve want to disable view models
Exactly. Remember when Valve thought that the reload animation for Spy Revolvers and Heavy Shotguns should block the middle 60% of the screen?
[*]
AquilaSo far in the article, details about 4 'classes' are talked about. Looks like they're pulling an Overwatch, with some classes being able to see through walls/become temporarily invincible. Thoughts?
Sounds like it'll good if they make Overwatch, but with all the features Blizzard doesn't allow: custom HUDs and crosshairs, super-low graphics settings for clarity, hidable viewmodels, better movement, etc.
Oddly, you can see the link if you quote Aquila's post.

blackdiamondbr01) Turn on your crosshairs
2) Get your crosshair on the target before you scope
You can also play with zoom_sensitivity_ratio values (0.0 - 1.0)
Is zoom_sensitivity_ratio still locked to 1 in MM?
BurningSmileIt looks like valve is working on patching this :(

"Sounds like an unfair advantage." - Slin
Yes, of course a fair game has viewmodels that block half the screen when reloading. That's the spirit of the game.
It's available again. Is it any good?

Could you be more specific about the categories into which you are dividing players? You say "amateur" and "professional," but there is only one professional TF2 player. Everyone else is an amateur. Are you just looking at competitive players or also at pub players? What about competitive players who play UGC instead of ESEA? What about retired players?
(Also, Google Forms works pretty well for polls. PollJunkie sucks if it doesn't let you fix mistakes in the poll.)
Can anyone with Windows run CompVMInstaller.exe and then just share the resulting compviewmodels.vpk with Linux/Mac users?
