Ok so I got my Deathadder 2013 today, I bought it because my old Diamondback 3G broke.
I plugged it into the computer, it worked. Installed synapse 2.0, restarted the computer, everything was set up properly and I could play games with my new mouse.

I then tried playing TF2, joined a server and my mouse froze. I tried plugging it back in but it just stopped working. I then tried restarting the computer but it just crashed when it tried to shut it down. When it was booted back up Synapse failed to identify my DA2013 and I had to use my old Diamondback. Windows tried installing drivers for the Deathadder but couldn't, when I tried plugging it out and back in it just didn't recognize it anymore.

I already tried contacting Razer support but their support doesn't seem very helpful.
Is there anything I can do or do I have to send it back to Amazon?

razer mice are kind of lacking on quality, not saying razer is a bad company or anything, i'd buy their.... mousepads if i ever needed one with 1337 razer logos on it.
Get a zowie.

Like I said I had a Diamondback 3G for a couple of years and never had any problems with it. It just recently had problems with mouse2 but that's to be expected after such a long time.

I still have a brand new Diamondback 3G... Still unopened. If you want it, it's yours.

synapse sometimes BUGS THE FUCK OUT but if you uninstall synapse you can reinstall it or just not use it at all.

Yeah the problem isn't with the mouse, it's that shitty synapse software. The deathadder is a fantastic mouse and the build quality is very good. The mouse has on board memory so just install synapse again. Save ur settings on the mouse (dpi and polling rates) and then uninstall synapse. You should be fine.

It's the software, really. The DeathAdder is a solid product shackled with some pretty poor software. If you still want a DeathAdder after all this you can get the older ones like the DA/DA3.5G and use the legacy drivers - just stay the heck away from Synapse. I had to uninstall Synapse on my 3.5G and run with the legacy drivers because it was so awful.
