It depends on which ones you'd rather use.

he's not wrong

hyperglides are objectively better than the zowie oem skates (probably the best oem, logitechs skates are the worst ive ever used) in almost every single way. but they're also pricey

Aren't they only $13 on amazon?

expensive relative to other skates. you can get hotline games skates on ebay for $4 which gets you 2 sets, and those a pretty good as well

i actually liked the way my ec2a felt with the stock mousefeet, and i had been using them for 1-2 years straight. It seems that after a while of use, it becomes a bit smoother. i got hyperglides with my fk2 recently, however. they definitely glide the most out of any stock mouse feet you'll see. there's an interesting difference between the two. with zowie's they're actually quite smooth, but they stick a lot more. despite that, i actually liked the feel. with mousefeet that glide a lot though, like the hyperglides, it's way easier for me to track (by track i mean weapons that you literally have to track perfectly on, like the pistol/heavy, etc, or lg in quake). i can easily flick/aim just as well with mousefeet that glide more (hyperglides) than the stock ones, so i'd say they're just better for the most part and just have a different feel in that regard.

its not objectively better. how much friction you want is preference and theres a lot of other factors with the big one being your mousepad. the only thing thats objectively better about hyperglides vs oem is they are thicker which means they can be re-used easier/last longer. even that could be debated, cause it can mess up on some low lod mice.

also I remember buying a set of hyperglides a long time ago, and they forgot to put glue on the bottom lmao.
