So there is no feasible way for me to get an Ethernet cable into my computer room. Any powerline adapters you guys would recommend? Would prefer under $50

I have those. They suck. When they work, they work good, but they disconnect at random and I have to replug the thing. I assume getting the not-cheapest not- TP-Link version solves this issue.

I've been using those same adapters for about 6 months and have had no problems with them so far. Maybe I've just been lucky though.

I'm using a Linksys model right now and haven't had any problems. The listed price is out of your range, but I'd recommend getting a used device anyway, no matter what brand you decide on - its not like there's any sort of fragile microelectronics in these things.

I also have been using these for almost a year and had very little problems sometimes I have to plug them and plug them back in but that's it.
