My mouse freezes, as far as I know only in TF2

When I play TF2 (and I haven't noticed it in any other games), my mouse will freeze (any movement of the actual mouse has no affect on my crosshair), and if I was holding down any buttons when it froze the inputs will stay throughout the freeze.

Can somebody help me out here? It's making it hard to play TF2 :(

EDIT: Would this be better off in hardware? If so, sorry.

What mouse? And do you think it could be the drivers messing with you?

do you use raw-input? last I remember using m_rawinput 1 it was causing some weird mouse latency/ click registration bugs (I use a death adder), so it might possibly be related?

I use raw input, and I use the razer imperator. It still happens with raw input off, though.

I tried updating drivers (through device manager) but it didn't help.

I have a razer imperator as well, it stops responding sometimes but generally cleaning the little scanner part with my finger fixes it. This probably won't help you but I guess its worth a try? D:

Also make sure its actually plugged in all the way? I dont see how it could be either of these things since you said it only stops working in tf2 but again its worth a try :<

You should download legacy drivers. Im not entirely sure, and don't comment on this if I'm wrong, but if you guys are downloading synapse drivers, it might cause your mouse to feel heavy and sometimes unresponsive.

Find the legacy drivers for your mouse, I know there's one for the DA.

The same thing happened to my last G400, it was a wiring issue for me.
